Trivium re-recorded their classic song “Ember to Inferno” with Jens Bogren. It has yet to be released on streaming platforms, so I took the liberty to upload it for the masses to hear more easily.
This song is available to listen to on the product page for the Trivium Drums plugin on Bogren digital. This is not a leak.

@@Fox20858 No problem! I was hoping Trivium would release the song so it could be listened to on Apple Music or Spotify but they haven’t so much as mentioned it existing yet. I figured it’d be easier to listen on RU-vid instead of on the Bogren product page.

@@StringCypher I'm hoping since Matt streams so much maybe he'll see how much people want it and allow it to be released. They aren't even promoting it other than using it in the Bogren videos so it's hard for people to know the whole song exists other than just a portion they hear in the videos.

After such in your face verses I expected even more in your face chorus, but for some reason they decided to spread it across the stereo field and make it hanging out there somewhere

It could just be us being so used to the original version, but man that chorus is missing a lot, as well as the slower bridge and solo section feel really sluggish, but it’s nice to hear the full song finally

It’s a shame because the singing is on point, especially “from ember to inferno”. But the mixing on it is just so weird. Like they tucked it behind the instruments

@@QuizzyV Probably because this is a tech demo for a Kontakt sample library, and I don't believe it's meant to serve any purpose beyond that...unfortunately.

I personally think the guitar lead line they play over the chorus should have been saved for only the final chorus. Would have made it hit harder, especially being right before the final solo, and it would have allowed those hauntingly beautiful vocals to really shine in the first two choruses.

Yeah I feel this. They should have also made one of the vocal layers a bit louder. Considering putting the OG chorus vocals over the top of this.

@@midgetmasher5377 I figure this doesn’t have views because I have a tiny channel. I don’t understand why they haven’t even released it on Spotify or Apple Music. I’d think even if they weren’t promoting it they’d at least make it easier to listen to than having to sit on Bogren’s product page to hear it. I appreciate you all checking it out here.

Same for me. I was expecting a chorus similar to the original. Not that this one sounds bad...but it feels like it changes the whole vibe of the song.

it perfectly captures why I dislike modern metal production. This is way too "perfect" and pretty. The original had grit and dirt. It lived.

@@huntercisneros-robertson81 Bogren Digital released this version. Trivium re-recorded it with the new plugins they created with Bogren and it was only released on Bogrens product page. Trivium hasn’t released it themselves or even really mentioned it.
