Tobi kun Lol you spoke way too soon. Check out their new album. Matt screams on there quite a bit. He got vocal training and learned how to scream with good technique.
One of my favorites on the album. Possibly even my favorite. "Rise Above the Tide", "Dead and Gone", and "Beneath the Sun". GREAT ALBUM, Trivium! THANK YOU!
See this is why I love Trivium so much. Each album has their own unique sound. It's not always the same *cough Slayer cough and other bands too cough*.

Btw if i remember correctly Matt said a couple of times that he actually always wanted to sing, but couldn't, so he screamed instead. He's really proud of his voice - and he should be - so i don't think he'll be screaming again.

+Kevin Romano The whole song has nautical themes like a lot of stuff on shogun, and Matt's style of singing on the majority of this record is similar to that on shogun. The more vibrato filled /operatic or theatrical clean style. Of Prometheus and Shogun itself both feature vocals similar to this.
Triviums song waves was the first song i heard by them and been hooked ever since ! Awesome band with powerful messages they are well within there prime ! And better now they have grown
I got this album the year it came out. It's such an amazing album! I can't pick a fault with it at all, only Trivium can make a different sounding album and NOT make it sound like shite. The last three albums since have been incredible!!
I have been following trivium for a while now, and I have to say this is very different, but i am really enjoying it! nothing compares to live performance though!!
I don’t know why people don’t prefer this album. I actually prefer this album so much compared to the new album tbh. Sounds heavier and motivating, Matt’s vocals are actually perfect in this one, the guitar riffs sound amazing in general, and most of all I love their theme in this album and aesthetically. I love the white background with black inks and black themed objects especially their omen skull.
Me encanta Trivium, es mi grupo favorito, lo que más me encanta es que cada álbum es muy distinto, matt tu voz es más clara pero también hace falta algo de rudeza (por asi decirlo), pero aun así este álbum es muy bueno :D
Shattering The Skies is not a song from any studio albums, it was featured on In Waves as a BONUS TRACK, it was originally done for God of War 3 in 2010
I really hope they do this. It seems so random and something that the mainstream wouldn't jump on, but it would just kick his character's story off so well. Oh well. We'll see.
I dig this track, and this album rates fairly good with me not their best, but better than VF even without screams. (screams are kinda getting old for me these days) i see it as a bit of a fad if done poorly or just for the sake of it and do agree with Heafy that singing is harder than screaming. But "lost forever, lost together" think Matt's been digging architects too much lately? ;D haha no hate though.

+Felice i'm sure in the next album they will be a hardcore again, it's just Trivium love experimenting with their music, it's a good thing, maybe we as a fan cannot enjoy it really well because we are not used to it yet, give them a chance, this is their creations, their arts (btw matt has a problem with his vocal singing, not with his growling, he said that he cannot sing clean vocal voice, but growl he can do it), so i think matt has been improving a lot with his vocal in this album, peace
Yeah it was but the only 2 song’s on there that are officially good is strife and through blood🩸dirt and bone🍖🦴and I still consider it one☝️of my most favorite albums.
it seems the music has been "dumbed down", for lack of a better term. wonder if the new drummer had anything to do with them doing this. it is very "simple". as for matt's voice, I like it when he songs actually
