Easter egg means that something is hidden, you must look for it, it's a secret, hidden surprise. It can also mean a hidden meaning in movies, games. Or hidden objects in games. As far as I know in english and german-language countries Easter eggs originally is a game for kids - parents hide in house some eggs made of chocolate, or some sweets, and kids are looking for it. It's played during Easter holidays (it's in spring), it's feast of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
