surprisingly they didn't use the TRN special 'sauce' that make the treble very piercing like most of their iem

S12 pro coming with modular cable. though, not sure of the tuning if still the same. nice review, subscribed :D

I recently bought them with a discount for 80$. They sound significantly better than my other trn's. It seems like it close to my reference akg 612 pro but with a little more bass. I think I will use them unlike my trn emx which are unusable for me.

I really love the look of the kirin more than the other planar, it's a shame it's lacking details.l think you have fiio fd5 as well,how does kirin compare to fiio fd5 detail wise then?Thank you.

I don't have the FD5. Kirin isn't the most detailed but it has a nice tonality and good fit. Check out the TANGZU as well. That's a looker.
