@@cainanrabalais8536 I wouldn't really call them terminally online though, I've seen way worse people that can act a certain way even while being outside of the internet. So sure those people might have a life outside of it but they're still just as mental in the real world. You may also refer to a homeless person acting mental and talking to imaginary people at the side of the road.
It could be because a lot of Americans don't get much foreign media like movies and shows. So it makes anything that sounds different or similar sound strange to them. I have a hard time with a lot of accents. Probably because I'm a sperg and my social skills aren't the best. I think we could benefit more if we had more tv shows and movies from other countries and that way Americans can get more familiar with different accents.
