Nick, are you the one doing guided trips? Just picked up my Hobie outback and looking into going after some halibut. I have done some crabbing in the past in bodega bay but looking for some tips to get experience fishing the bay.

Any recommendations on a good rod and reel for trolling on a kayak for halibut and salmon?

Not good to use that type of net for halibut because if the fish is too small. You’re gonna end up throwing it back in . that net is going to cut into the back tail fin where it’s going to end up getting rot..
