The polite thing would be to call it a Lambo in front of his friends. If guy says it's a rep you say, "it's good one dude" and walk on your way. That would have been class. Even if he says, "that's my lambo" you just say, "nice car bud" and walk away. Doug seems the kind of guy to say to his wife "your ass looks big in that, and any dress you wear, you should never wear them". lol
@@PeugeotRocketehh if you waste your time and energy this much to troll someone without absolutely destroying them, then you got got. this dude telling the story dedicated way too much time to this jackass with a fake lambs and didn’t even win the war, just a couple of the battles. 😂
@@Cartier2Shiesty This guy left the poser totally embarrassed and emasculated in front of those girls. Plus, he eventually admitted it was a fake Lambo. The war was won. Also, this isn't trolling. It's standing on principle. The only jackass is the one posing by pretending to have a Lambo to get laid. What a loser. 😂
Nah, this story was like a story a teenager would tell to impress his other teenager friends. This was creepy and ridiculous AF. A grown man, doing all this to try and insult another grown man who did nothing to him whatsoever.
@@aslofiasitcanget2945 he's also forgetting that the dude just dissed him after he helped him save his kit car's battery. Id go out of my way to put that fake lambo guy in his "honest" place
I definitely wouldn't have waited an hour for the guy to come back out.. I get that the guy was annoying, but when I see a man wearing a toupee I don't feel the need to try and give him a haircut.
or it sounds like Doug likes funny content and saw a good opportunity for some good jokes. not every day you see a kit car, much less one with an owner who says it's real
I watched Ed's sex-worker Lambo story and realized how eloquently these stories can be told and it just make's Doug's smugness, where everyone else in the story is an idiot, seem even worse.
This sounded like a Seinfeld episode…lol George gets roasted, then goes away dreaming up the next perfect scenario to outwit the competition.. “…oh yeah, well the jerkstore called, and they’re running out of you!!” 😂😂😂
Why do you even care what this guy thinks…? And you want to show him your bank account! Lol Dude, you sank right to his level. You think he is dumb for how he acted…. What about you?
@@murry001 the whole story around the pictures is bullshit. Yes there was a replica. Yes he met the guy. Yes he took a picture. Everything else is suspect. The guy is full of shit. No business owner is going to go to the lengths he went to in a small area (Solon/Twinsburg/Peninsula) to show everyone he's a douche and don't do business with him.
It's weird that he goes around claiming that the kit car is a Lamborghini, but it's even more weird the way you became obsessed with him and stalked him with your wife.
During the revolution kit car guy won't be dragged off for a meeting with the Madame. People may laugh at kit dude but no real short haircuts are in his future.
lol the dude wasn’t trolling him. he was delusional and wanted people to think his “lambo” was as real as ever and his ego would be killed if it was known he had a kit car. that’s literally what a lot of people do
@@SlickArmor The guy pretending to have a Lambo is obviously the tool, not the guy who can actually afford one, has owned one, and just exposed opposer. Dude was using a fake Lambo to impress chicks. Hands down, no contest, he is the the tool.
The fact a grown man had to walk up to another random man's driveway just to "let him know his lights were on" and definitely "NOT" to patronize, says a lot about this guy. There's an old saying " you can be minding your own business and not bother anyone at all but then someone finds out something about you, it can be anything at all the tiniest of things and they're quick to try to interfere with your life by using that against you." It's such a weird flex to show someone your bank account. This dude is a total douche.
Yep. I side more with the kit car guy in this story. Hes just a car guy like everyone else here. He even did an engine swap on it. Trying to pass it off as real is lame for sure, but I feel like chasing this dude down and harassing him over it like this is terrible. Even more so when hes out with ladies/dating It's just shitty and petty
@@Naiprocz Not only that - filming an "Interview" about the incident, editing and uploading it with a collage of "selfies" with a load of So What? poser cars .. ...
I saw a Beetle based 246 Dino kit car once and the owner actually built it himself - he learned as he went and although it was rough to say the least he was proud of his effort but admitted that it was built in a shed with basic tools ! I didn't call him out as he wasn't in any way pretentious and showed us all round his creation- He said he was just happy to have it roadworthy and some stuff he could have done better !
Kit cars are fucking awesome, it's just how the owners hold themselves with owning one. People that own replicas trying to pawn them off as real, are douches. Those that own proper kits like Ultimas, Catherhams, etc, best kit car people to know, a huge font of knowledge and expertise.
The Shelby Cobra kit cars are often pretty nice when done right. I’d rather drive a kit with no worries than be totally paranoid about damaging a real one.
So here's what happened... guy went three blocks looking for a Lamborghini. Found a kit car, encountered a serial liar... and then a d*** swinging contest ensued, of which doug eventually won. But no one really wins those, do they? He lied, you knew he was lying, all you had to do was say "I know you're lying to me" and walk away. Everything else was unnecessary.
Naw bro doug is so annoying he loves to hate on people doing what they can to live his type of life and his story’s have a bunch of “possibles” and “maybe” or “just misses”
This man clearly has borderline personality disorder. No normal person would be this bothered to pursue someone like this to prove a point. Hopefully he gets some help
@@IvanOoze1990 They may lose some subscribers if they keep on with videos like this. Short term gain only? Look at what most of the comments are saying.
yeah this dudes a wanker hahaha who gives a flying fork, acting like it shouldnt matter if he has money... then brags about his own bank account hahahaha.. and using his wife as an excuse for being a weirdo and stalking this guy over a car!
So the drunk guy walking through the neighborhood with a beer thinking that he's going to troll the guy with the kit car gets offended when the kit car guy picks up on his trolling LOL!
Did you not listen to the story? Walks up to look at a car, sees the lights are on, identifies the car as what it is which is a kit car, owner of kit car gets all pissy denies its a kit car, acts like a dick for no reason. Then the trolling begins after that.
@@SavageShooter93 Maybe YOU are the clueless one. Literally the first words out of his mouth in the first 15 seconds is "my car snobbery....." He's a troll and starts admitting to it with that comment. A little too gullible ain't ya?
Yeah, just what I was thinking. This car sotry guy was boring the you-know-what outa me - but now I'm thinking the fake Countach guy was just pathetic, but car story guy is an a-hole. But, his wife is on the same page, so at least when he obsesses over totally meaningless subjects, he has a partner-in-crime
@@mattskustomkreations so if an ugly girl is walking around telling everyone how beautiful she is she needs to be corrected the guy with the fake Lamborghini telling people it's real isn't hurting anybody unless he's trying to sell it to somebody as a real Lamborghini and if he's doing it to get girls I wouldn't feel sorry for them they're gold diggers
@@tonyrappa4611 Although beauty is subjective, an “ugly” girl is obvious to everyone with eyes. But not everyone would instantly recognize a kit car for what it was. The fact that this guy knows it’s fake and passed it off as real goes beyond trying to impress women. Someone who blatantly lies like this is bound to hurt others in some other way -through some type of monetary scam or emotional abuse through deception.
It wasn't so much pettiness to prove the guy wrong about his car. It was a desire to correct a social wrong. The kit car owner bullied. He needed a reality check. I just wish the real lambo could have gone to that restaurant for comparison 😁
@@warp.routine how can you be defending this douche. Could have easily said, “The car in the driveway had its lights on.” He intentionally called it a kit car because he was hoping for a reaction.
I’m actually not quite sure who the bigger d-bag is in this story, is it the kit car guy or the petty stalker guy. I’m leaning towards the latter though.
This is a good representation of what’s wrong with the car community today. You got the one guy bragging of a fake Countache. Then you get the guy that can’t respect this guys car (build, kit, etc) so he goes out of his way to “own”. Jeez just let people enjoy their cars. Kit or not.
R/thathappened This guy went to a person's house for pretty much the sole purpose of berating a guy with a kit car who dared to have it in his neighborhood. Went to a small car show that DID have a category for kit car but DIDNT have an exotic category? Stalked a man for who knows how long just to try and get this guy to say it wasn't a real Lamborghini. How did this man hurt you that bad Mr Karen?
Well the irony was that his battery went dead a few weeks later at a golf course and someone had to jump start his lamfuax. Maybe if someone had told him his lights were on :)
Doug could have just said "That car", or "That white car", or "That white sportscar", or "That car with the lights on" etc. Calling it out as a kit car is fine... but claiming that referring to it as a kit car because *"he had no other way of describing it"* is disingenuous.
At 9:53 you stated "4 lug wheels" How do you know they were four lug wheels? At 0:54 one can see the wheels have center caps and one is unable to see the lug nuts. 🤔 All Fieros came w/ 5 lugs Seems like the kit car owner is not the only one not being truthful..... 😑🤔
Nothing wrong with driving a kit car, just own up to it being a kit car. A mint Manta Mirage, Marauder GT, or Fiberfab Jamaica are all jaw dropping and exotic as well, if not quite as much as a Countache
@@BourbonInhibitions Nah, kit cars can be really cool and can be an affordable way to make a modernized replica of a vehicle. People often don’t take kindly to someone Coyote swapping an original 1964 Shelby Cobra, but throwing your TT Coyote into a Cobra kit car, hell yeah brother, make all the horsepower.
This ranks up.there with the kid and all the secret hidden car meets and collections that everyone knew about and the highlight of the story was sitting in some rich sheiks Pagani .
wow, I can't even imagine what it's like being so out of touch with the world you choose to exist in? That’s what I was thinking dude can’t even go get his own Lamborghini lol but calls someone else out who cares if it’s real if he’s happy that’s all that matters
So having the money not to care about the guys fake Lamborghini, but the narcissism to dwell on it forever. I'd just say. Whoever owns a white sporty car, your lights running
@@jamesmaybrick2001 You should be laughing at the fake poser guy. He was actually trying to get laid off a fake Lambo. He was trying to act rich by pulling out $300 lol. Dude is literally saying you don’t have enough money to look at the engine on here if anybody is the complete ass it’s the owner of that kit car get over yourself
It’s the fact that Doug “poses” as a dope in so many of his photos trying so hard to be something he is not in real life is the reason I agree with you whole heartedly Casey. The parallels and contradictions are storytelling gold.
The funny part is that just being real with people and telling them it's a kit probably wouldn't really detract from people's interest in the car. Having fun with a car that you can actually drive for a small fraction of the price of the real thing isn't something to be ashamed of. What a tool. 🤦♂
Someone who is into real car culture would be proud of their work (kit car), not try to convince anyone a poor replica is real. When someone in car culture says something like "the kit car" it is to hint "I'm a car guy too" and strike up a fun conversation about the car and what they built. I doubt he went up to call the guy out, he probably thought it would be fun to check it out and legit wanted to let them know their lights were on so they don't kill their battery as a fellow car guy. I'd be willing to bet the headlights were left on on purpose though.
I knew a guy in my little town of less than a 1000 who saved all the money he could to buy a countach and when he finally saved enough he was in his late 60s. And he bought the car and like 6 months later he finds out it's fake. I never saw him again after he found out it was fake. It looked perfect to one of the best kit cars I've ever seen, even had a v12 in it.
I bet he was saving money slightly slower then they were going up in value, must have been well frustrating for him and then boom he gets a fake, dudes probably hung himself I know I would have.....
I've never seen a perfect kit car that looked exactly like the same as the real thing. Measurements, interior, steering wheel or something... there is always something wrong.

This reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where George was having lobster for lunch with someone and they said that the ocean had called and said they were running out of lobster… George later drove like four hours out of his way to have another lobster lunch with the guy only to prompt him to say the joke again so he could have a good come back!
