I was playing clarinet with Treme Brass Band at Candlelight Lounge down in the 6th ward one Wednesday and Troy dropped in to jam. He's got the chops, but he communicates well and humbly with the other musicians. That meant a lot to me. It doesn't surprise me that this song is a great groove at the expense of not showcasing himself. He's a great New Orleanian that understands the conversation of music.
Saw him live recently, and the video doesn't do justice to the incredible chemistry and onstage presence these guys have. It was a crazy dance party from the second they took the stage until they left. I've never seen such a happy and exhausted audience! Best of luck!
I totally agree the black infulance on the music I grew up with far over shadows anything heard on todays top 40. Not to say some young folks have missed it all together
The word Virtuoso spings to mind when I see this man perform. Saw him on the Jools Holland show a few months ago, blew everyone in the studio and me sitting at home away....it was a privilege to watch I can tell you.......
I really LOVE this song! I first saw the video and heard the song at a Harkins Theater, before the movie trailers were shown. I love the funky, jazzy sound that reminds me a lot of the tunes of the 70's era, which I grew up in. Rock On, Trombone Shorty!!!
Congrats on the Nikon commercial! I haven't heard this song in a year, but as soon as I did, I recognized it. I hope the rest of the people watching The Walking Dead on AMC look it up!
Like this video, cool that he had little kids in it dancing! That yell out, hmmm seems like a Lenny Kravitz move,g. saw him open for LK this summer, was amazing. They are so talented and Troy can blow
People dont even know he is legendary already , this guy has been around and played with and im sure learned from some of the greats , ive been following him since way back when , to see him grow to become this classic work of art its amazing, im a fan for life , BIG UP TO TROMBONE SHORTY from SOUFLOTV and SEVEN30
Seabreeze Jazz Festival closing act in Panama City Fl on April 25! Beautiful Beach, sunshine and live jazz by finest musicians alive!!! 🤩 I'm so there!!! LG 😊
Ashraf Saleh Oh Ashraf! What a great time you must have had - this guy is brilliant and seems really nice. Have a great week my friend. Blessings, Lorraine:)
@@aaadesktop eyyy yo XD ive done so many drugs LMAOOO. this comment made my day. why did i talk like that as a 13 year old?! ive changed alot since that time
Wow, I saw the picture and was laughing thinking it was some rapper called "Trombone Shorty" and then I turned on this video and found some of the best pop alternative music that I've heard in years. This band kicks ass!
Actually it's important to mention that it is not Beck, but Jeff Beck playing the solo. Beck is another well known musician, but Jeff Beck is a legendary guitarist that should have been featured in the video. I would have cancelled the shoot if I knew he won't attend...
i like it better when its the tbone solo at 1:55 but AWESOME SONG either way - my new hero as a tboner myself - PLEASE SHARE this with ur friends ppl, get this guy some of the attention he deserves.
sounds like mr.Lenny Kravitz yo...TRombone Shorty has worked with him on his tours and there is the sound and the featuring song....love it!!kiss....:*
