Hi! There's no certainty when it comes to Northern Lights. It's also not possible to predict so early. I would suggest you to keep checking the weather and aurora forecast. Usually the tours will go ahead if there's a slightest chance of seeing the lights. Also, keep a couple of extra nights in your itinerary. All the best :)

Hey, thanks. March is actually a good time to see the lights. We were in Tromso for 2 nights and were able to see the lights on the first night as part of the tour, as well as from the city. It was snowing on the second day, so didn’t get to see anything. It’s always a bit of luck, but if it’s first time for you, leave at least 3 nights for it.

Hi. Yes, it will be cold. You will need thermals, base layer/fleece and a snow jacket/parka. I have a parka from Gandys that I wore in Tromso, but you can also check North face, mountain warehouse, superdry, decathlon. You will also need snow boots and snow pants. The tour providers sometimes provide them or can be rented out. I wore warm hiking pants from decathlon during the day, but needed snow pants from Mountain warehouse during northern lights tour. @@EZ-ib8ic oh yes and can u believe the days before and after my chosen day were all cloudy and there were no lights. The day I picked was the perfect day. I had some thought behind it. We drove down just ahead of the city and at 8pm we saw. In fact the tour guy said that he will drive us down to Finland if we can't see lights but then we saw lights n going to Finland wasn't needed . So yaayyyyyy

@@mist1610 woah that’s awesome to hear! Ur lucky! I also didnt know going to finland would have a higher chance of seeing the northern lights. I thought the chance would be greater at Tromsø

@@PayelBhaduri is it easy to get taxi during the drop off time, I am assuming it to be in midnight. So during that time is is easy to get taxi? Also how much does taxi fare cost in average to commute in trosmso, are there public transport information. Can you provide me any link or referance for taxi booking and public transport information. Hey! This was in the first week of March. End of March should still be okay considering they were visible till the end of March in the last 2 years, but the frequency might reduce. I would suggest to visit before mid-March.
