I love this song, but I do prefer The Grid/Flynn Lives as the main theme. It sets the mood for an action movie much better. A song like this fits much better in the credits to help you contemplate what you’ve just watched.

They really, really tried with Legacy. They had a large promotional campaign with toys, a huge Comic-Con booth, a big ARG with websites and codes, merch, lots of marketing, a spin-off TV show, and a video game. The movie itself was also very risky and took a very long time to finish with the CGI and music process. Unfortunately, Legacy disappointed Disney at the box office. I love Tron, but we have to recognize that it’s a niche franchise and probably only sold even that many tickets because of the popularity of 3D.

@@TheAlienGangster as all that is true , my point was if it was explored further it could have been much better and a bigger franchise .... I personally thought it was very under rated , and a big reason it wasnt explored further is Marvel which is fine , I loved 90 % of the Marvel films too . Just my opinion , but even with lackluster reviews and results it still did ok and has a somewhat nice cult following these days . What would have been cool is to see more Grid wars , or a Story where Sam has to go back into the old school Tron - disc wars and light cycle stuff that could have been epic if done right . Thanks for the comment man I totally agree just have a soft spot for this franchise .

CREATIVE EA SOLUTIONS -TRENDXEA- I think the problem with Tron as a franchise is it is quite limited in what it can do. It’s built around one concept, a User or rebellious program having an adventure inside the Grid, and can’t really diverge from that. I still have hope for Tron Ares, but I’m curious where they could go. The Grid was shut down and Sam has the only key on his necklace. The identity discs and light ribbons would of course be a mainstay, but they can’t emphasize the games again. They’ve done it too many times at this point (Tron, Tron Legacy, Tron Evolution Battle Grids) for it to be a main part of the movie again.

@@TheAlienGangster I think they have plenty of room to go with it , anything like this franchise , the Matrix , futuristic computer driven , has so much potential , but your right as far as can it diverge to far so it isnt Tron anymore , which that happens alot to big franchises. Sam could easily re -open the grid , his father had more secrets and Tron was very underplayed in Tron Legacy , maybe a re-telling of Tron or a prequel even could be cool , I saw a concept art for a Tron X that was similar to the Matrix as far as way in the future , Idk though like I said I think I just wanted more and wish it could have happened someway . Legacy was epic in my opinion , and I usually am not in line with ratings or critics anyhow .

CREATIVE EA SOLUTIONS -TRENDXEA- I like Legacy a lot as well. However, I just don’t see how Disney could pull of Tron to the level that fans expect while expecting to turn a profit. Making a Tron movie with the scale and budget expected of such a blockbuster is very risky for Disney. The only way I could see it being done is through Disney+ and with a massive marketing push to watch the originals to promote their service.
