Anyone stepping in to help needs to be aware that they don't have the same legal immunity and protections that an officer does if something goes wrong.
@@Carter-je9kb WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU! Why would you say such a MOSNTEROUS THING! I mean... I am a sociopath... but even I WOULDNT be that Evil! Booze is a tangible reward❤🍁🦫
No we really don’t because everyone with think their f’n Batman and start interfering with actual police work. That civvie did a great thing but we don’t need to weaponize anymore people with delusions of grandeur
This is exactly why there should always be an extra Officer.. 2 husky built men had a difficult time restraining him, beautiful work and awesome Samaritan
It blows my mind that after trying to disarm a police officer with the intention of probably harming or killing him this man is still able to be given bond and make bond and be back out on the street within a week. That’s fucked up. Really good teamwork and assistance from the Good Samaritan and officers!
You assume too much. The man kept saying he “did nothing wrong”. He was being attacked by an armed man and could have been in fear and wanted to make sure he disarmed the officer so the officer wouldn’t resort to his weapon and shoot him. The officer may not have had a legal basis to detain him and it seems like the man knew his rights. I’m curious to know if the convictions are being appealed, so many times people don’t have the resources to argue in court. Lower courts often back local law enforcement knowing that the convictions likely won’t be appealed but a higher court is more likely to stand up for civil rights. The man kept saying “you have no authority over me”. This is actually true. Until you commit a crime or there is some measure of significant evidence that you may have committed a crime, a police officer has no authority over you. I would like to know all the facts of this case before making any judgements. This man may have a good argument for an appeal.
@@newnotefinder8972 my guy, he was involved in an accident and attempted to flee aka hit and run. Then he assaulted an officer, attempted to steal the officer's gun, on top of that he was DUI. There is no reason at all for him to have tried that. You've got to be trolling.
You couldn’t ask for a better man than that to stop and help!! There’s no way In hell he was fighting through that guy 😂 He literally saved that officer’s life he deserves the most recognition what an amazing man!! 💪🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
That guy was at the right place at the right time to help this officer! I love it when total strangers want to help others in need or need saving and not expect anything in return but the city or police department recognizes a hero and wants to give them a reward for their bravery. We see more bad news on the news media and negative gossip on social media than good news and positive news. There’s still good and kind people out there, it just needs to be shown more often. If you ever watch the news, you know it’s not always good news, but at the very end, the last minute of the news, they always leave with a positive and happy news segment so we won’t leave off with depressing news. They want us to forget what bad news we just saw. This man wasn’t afraid to help save and protect a life when he could have been in danger himself. Some people are afraid to help because they could get hurt or worse, and it has happened to innocent people just trying to help… but Angels come in all shapes and sizes.. even with their boxers showing. 😉
@happygirl0214 I was thinking along the same lines. You never know who could be there for you to save your life or come to your aid when you most need it. There aren't many guarantees in life, but you always hope that if you ever need life-saving help, you will receive it from whoever is available when you need it most.
Being a large fella like this gentleman it comes in handy with situations like this. ive thrown my weight around a few times stopping fights. This guys a Real one.
Thank you so much Citizen for rendering assistance to the Trooper. That was a dangerous choice by you and you were brave to make it. You are also very smart to show other officers arriving your hands so they knew you were the good Samaritan. Much respect sir.
The criminal justice system is woefully broken. Everyone knows it. It's just a matter of arguing why. He should have been charged with attempt of murder.
The reason these dangerous individuals get released on Bail is simple: to make money off of them. An unholy alliance of corrupt political and Justice system, with total disregard for society which these judges and politicians are supposed to serve & protect!
Yeah it is...Its just so difficult to charge people for things nowadays so they go for a charge they know they can win so that they at least get some charges.. But it sucks :(
That man is a hero. He saved the troopers life. I am happy he was recognized for his selfless behavior. Put his life at risk to help a trooper. Helps that he was a big strong man. Intelligent, strong, heroic .
Words cannot express my joy when this guy helped that trooper. If you don't feel good then there is something wrong with you. Now we need to push our DA's and courts for stronger actions against repeat offenders. You goos people need to make sure you VOTE and let your DA's and judges know how you feel. One more time GREAT job by the civilian.
At a time in our history when the police are vilified and trashed, this good man stepped up to help and possibly save the officer's life. God bless you, sir.
Wow mad respect and big shout out to that Good Samaritan He literally saved that officer's life!!! I absolutely love to see it and I'm so glad that the Good Samaritan got awarded for his bravery I hope he sees his video and knows how much everyone appreciates him risking his own life just to save this officer!! This video rendered me speechless! The Good Samaritan was just acting like it was no big deal I guess he's used to being a hero on the daily❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@elijahhassaanmuhammed5840 they will take him to court as a witness and waste his time lol I will never step in to save a cop, let them deal with it… fu…k them all
I love this channel because you give the outcome of each situation at the end. Mad respect for that good samaritan. I have no doubt that the officer would have lost his life without this mans help.
That civilian is a hero. Those MHP officers have balls the size of Lake Minnetonka to walk into these situations. Thanks for doing an MN channel. Not as easy to get vid released here.
I like to seee when civllain comes in to help, it warms my heart letting you know there might be some bad cops, and good cops don't mean you don't just sit there and watch. And this men did very good talk to officer making sure what he needed him to letting him know he's there to help.
This cop handled the suspect wrong right from the get go... in my opinion. That's why things escalated so quickly. State trooper was out of line here- handling up on that guy the way he did.
My Dad was a hero many times. He never hesitated to pull over and help as needed at a pull over or an accident. One time we were traveling to Iowa from Colorado and saw a van weaving through traffic when all of a sudden it went off the road and rolled several times. My dad stopped and told my Mom to use the CB radio to call for help.
I’m so beyond happy to hear that this Good Samaritan received recognition. Even the suspect knew he wasn’t playing he even gave him the (put that candy down) count down “I’m not playing with you 1,2” 😂
He deserves something good for putting his own life in danger to help officer ! Civilians are not trained or equipped for that but he seen something wrong and jumped in! Need more people like him
That big man who came to help the state Trooper is a hero in my book. Kudos to this gentleman, thank you for your service to all the officers out there. ❤️❤️❤️😊
Just a month later back doing the same thing. Maybe work camps are the answer for folks like this. They do something that is marketable as in make things to be sold, and get a tent and 3 squares a day - and no alcohol. Thank goodness for this helpful citizen. We need more folks like him.
That regular citizen is a HERO!!! I hope everyone who has ever stood by with their phone in hand taking videos, takes notice of what a REAL MAN DOES FOR ANOTHER HUMAN BEING!!!
Imagine being an officer/trooper and some dickhead fights you and tries to take your gun only for the “justice” system to allow him to not face any jail time. Glad that brother got recognized for helping the officer.
That individual well deserves our highest kudos for saving the life of that middle-aged police officer. Period. I wonder if anyone else perceives the same view w/ me. (09/05/23)
