This was my rookie year with the Troopers, and I will never forget how this show felt. We were always told to keep our own personal heroes in mind when performing this show. That night, in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, I thought of my grandmother who died of cancer about ten years ago. As soon as Braden (the baritone soloist) came in with "Fix You" was that magical moment of the show for me, that moment when the show became MY show. I was performing this show to honor my grandmother, and I am proud of what I've done this past summer. Thank you, all of you, who have supported us either this summer or throughout the years. HLD.
I am an alumni of a major west coast university marching band and we never had a drum major that put so much effort and compassion into his conducting efforts as we saw here. A perfect "cue" at 2:06.
