No-one does Ceremony, Tradition etc like the British. It's these Traditions that are the backbone of everything that makes Britain Great. Pride and Ceremony are truly marvellous. Thank You very much.
@@Haideprinzesschen Sorry. I should have translated it. The Japanese Self-Defense Forces exist. However, although there is the Imperial Palace police, there is no Imperial Guard Division like in the UK.
China now does it far better, as a veteran of 34 years watching those lardy guts waddling along I'm embarrassed as to what we've become. Look at the drill of the ladies militia of the Beijing Institute of Fashion... Reserves, Territorials, student seamstresses! If you want to see drill.
as french guy, I had the honour and privilege to participate to 3 parades : 1998, 1999 and 200... you are right... no one does ceremony like the British
Absolutely Wonderful! Makes you feel Proud to be British Can't wait to see them on Trooping The Colour in a couple of weeks I love it Thank you for sharing this with us
Ive noticed the bearskins vary in shape and this didnt used to be. I think when i was young the guards all had to be a certain height too and werent allowed to get overweight
I was thinking the same thing lol. I think some of those overweight should be in the middle . I'm grateful that they serve our country and wish them good fortune and safe health.
I'm delighted that beards are now permitted in the British Army. When I left the Army I grew a beard and still wear it. If I'd been allowed one during my service career maybe I'd now be shaving each day! Trust it will be a brilliant King's Birthday Parade.
Marching in formation, even for rehearsals, ain't easy! Only those who have been there, done it and got the t-shirt can criticise or come out with sarcastic comments.
Can't beat spring drills and ceremonial rehearsals especially Trooping the Colour and State opening of Parliament. 16 years of serving with great men 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️
@@stephenowens354 YOU NEED TO GET A PROPER JOB. YOU'VE PROBABLY NOT PAID A PENNY INTO OUR SYSTEM. AS FOR THESE SOLIERS, THEY HAVE A PROPER JOB AND ARE BRAVE, UNLIKE YOU WHO NO DOUBT HAS A YELLOW STREAK DOWN HIS BACK SND A WHITE FLAG IN HIS HAND. 👹👹👹💩💩💩
As an ex Soldier I am so proud of our service men and women of today. I am an Ex Royal Artillery soldier who was proud to have been one of our Dear late Queen Elizabeth service men and no what it means to have had the training to turn a ordinary men or women into a fine British Army Soldier God bless them all and keep them safe ❤
@@geraldmartin6048 absolutely. I served during Our Late Queens Silver Jubilee in London District. Never really appreciated how I was taking part in history at the time. Certainly do now and like yourself, proud to have served
All militaries delude themselves on this. In Basra we ran away, in Afghanistan we were defeated, and when the Marines couldn't navigate and ended up arrested by the Iranians they burst into tears when their phones were nicked. Google it..
Impressive even when not in dress uniform. Looking forward to the formal event. Watching from New Zealand, I do enjoy your videos, you make someone from so far away feel part of those present.
Here in the US our soldiers according to height and weight per individual are given a target weight that they're encouraged to maintain. They can't be overweight and be on active fury the exception are the officers. I know this because my close cousin had to be put on a diet and exercise routine for 6months until he was back under his weight target. He ended up packing on muscle instead. During that time he was removed from active duty and was returned to it wasn't he lost the weight . he was Navy though .
A month away from Trooping and the standard of drill is very high. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏Well done all. I’m sure you will give His Majesty a cracking birthday parade.
Oh my goodness, those beards look utterly ridiculous . Such woke nonsense it was to allow them. I knew the RAF would give in but prayed that in my 29 years in the Blues and Royals we would NEVER see the same. Unfortunately…. I still love the Regiment, and the Army, but we are DEFINITELY going in the wrong direction. It makes me sad 🙁
All Kings and Queens have had an Official Birthday in June, since ?Victoria. No matter what their actual birthday. A bit like Guy Fawkes' Day. The country gets a known annual celebration, and the King still gets the chance for a private family event on his real birthday.
At 14.37 One of the officers seem to be marching any a different pace. Some of the dressing needs improvement. It seems that the current generation lack discipline and dedication on the parade ground.
Hello John nice to hear you again wondered where you'd gone the soldiers are fantastic on time in sinc with each other and listening to orders why are they in brown?
Wow the soldiers are marching just as one Hearing their steps on the ground This is our tradition and history This is the best of our country 🇬🇧🇬🇧😃😃🏴🏴🏴🏴❤️❤️👍 👍 😍😍
What a shame, this year’s birthday parade so many traditions will be abolished. Including fall in of the officers, WOs leading the guards to the parade, and adjutant report
Women only in the bands not in the Guards..some of the women in the band look really short. In NZ military bands the women are all quite tall including my girl when in the NZ Army band...
The final barriers to women in combat were lifted in 2018. There are now women in armoured (Household Cavalry) and Foot Guards. Those in the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment are a bit more visible compared to those in the Foot Guards.
Good hour running around the parade ground perimeter every morning would sort that after a week of it🤣🤣 Was punishment in the RN...around the square all in line or follow the leader (on a carrier flight deck as well (ours was 900ft x 120ft... )Fit yer buggers?.!! you soon will be😂😂😂😂
In olden wars some sergeants had white cross sashes with hooks attached to haul injured men away from the battlefield but they got blood soaked so it was decided to make the sashes red so the blood would not show up so much. My brother was a Grenadier so got all the "gen"...'
@elsiecook2259 I used to watch the trooping esp 1970s and 80s were the Guards were taller thiner and the marching was far higher than today nothing stays the same but unfortunately the BA has gone its not even a large force and lots of equipment absolete it needs reformed same with RN and RAF.😊
@@Debbie-xs5em It's not exactly being rude to point out the fact that the Brits, at least some of them, are as pathetic as they are ridiculous, when it comes to this monarchy nonsense. Then too, from what I hear from the likes of Pierce Morgan, there are a lot of Brits that are a lot more fed up with whole outdated, obsolete monarchy nonsense than anyone else. Simply stated, it's time to put that ridiculous monarchy nonsense to rest, once and for all.
