I had a dobby rescue in the 1980's. I lived on Martha's Vineyard. Anyway, the dog couldn't swim. She was a year old and had never been in the water. In MA. they cut the tail but not the ears by law. Had to take her out past the breakers and hold her up under her belly. It took a week but she learned to swim to shore. Still she would not follow me into the water. Then one day a guy is on the beach with his Lab and he's throwing a stick out past the breakers. My dog sees this, sees the lab run into the water for the stick and that was it. She charges out into the surf, swims past the lab, grabs the stick swims back before the lab even knew what happened. I'm laughing, the guys sayin "HOLY SH*T" .. from that day on I couldn't keep her out of the water. Truth is, she had to swim twice as fast as any other dog or she would sink like a stone....
The new lil fella looks like a "Cooper" to me. My cousin had a yellow lab named Cooper that was a great dog. He just looks like one to me. Hope y'all don't get hammered too bad and you are back to fishing ASAP!😎👍👍
@@zeiwow0 hey i get it, someone that doesn't want to wait a year and willing to pay more that's cool. He didn't have to lie about it to try and benefit him
