Praying for everybody in Houston. I know it feels man I'm from Atlantic City, NJ. Hurricane Sandy cripple us our shore businesses, homes, and public transportation. The police put us on curfew hours. It felt we was in a apocalypse. I live on a island nobody allow us to come or go.

Houston's infrastructure sucks!! Concrete everywhere and not enough drainage to move all the "run off" water. 288 floods EVERY TIME a heavy rain comes. And let's not bring up the lower income areas...smh.

crazy how some people get the evacuation order, but they still think it won't happen to them? And there are people who don't leave because they're worried about being looted, but end up losing everything anyway.

Insurance coverage food for thought. I remember an elderly BM survivor of Katrina, a homeowner who paid 30 yrs of homeowner insurance premiums who's house flooded, received a $500 check from Allstate in response to his property damage claim.

Sherri Solomon only the areas close to the coast were mandatory evacuation, eveyone else told to stay in place because it was so bad after it hit

the only reason houston was told not to evacuate was because there are over 2 million people in houston. thats too many people to evacuate. hundreds of people would have died just trying to leave the city

Nc gets hit bad too we had a hurricane a week before our dams broke in fayetteville last year and we have atleast 6 of them it was kinda trippy cause they broke one after another.

it's crazy because you don't just have to worry about the water, the people who may be hostile in these situations, food/water, and transportation to safety.. you gotta worry about snakes and etc. being in the water that could do damage too sadly. I hope everyone out there is okay in Texas and other southern states that may get affected.

Glad you all are ok Phil. Also he is correct you need to keep comprehensive coverage on your vehicles. That coverage covers flooding of you your vehicle. As an auto and property insurance agent I get have seen to many times where people lost there vehicles because they did not have the right coverage.

I feel truly sorry for the innocent people living in Texas who are affected by this huge storm, and the flooding. But I believe that there are many evil, and wicked, and racist people, living in Texas who God is punishing by using this storm.
