There is now a hurricane watch and storm surge watch for parts of the Texas coast. Beryl is a tropical storm now but will strengthen back to hurricane status before making landfall along the Texas coast at the end of the weekend.
Hey Guys, just spent overnight here in Tulum, Cat 2..... Simply BORING...lots of wind, lots of rain...NO flooding... We locals say the Mexican Gov simply wanted to mobilize the Marines to give them something to do....as they ride around in the back of their Pickup Trucks reading their email..surfing the web and really there is nothing else for them to do.... So don't sweat out a Storm Surge or Cat 2 because it's nothing to be worried about. Acutally, Funny, in the morning, like 8 a.m. all we/the neighbors were standing out in the quiet side streets drinking coffee wondering what all the Hoopla was all about, watching Marines and Police drive by checking their emails...lol..
I'm lifetime costal Texan, but inland not on the beaches. I find hurricane drama has turned orgasmic for weathermen. This storm will struggle to get to Cat 1. It's the farmers and ranchers who are harvesting crops & hay. Those are who will get hurt financially.
Honestly i think this will get really strong and let me explain. Last night it restrenghtend back to cat 3 and was battling wind shear. Water is deeper, water is warmer , and wind sheer is even weaker. Watch out San Antonio .
It hit Yucatan as as Cat 2. It left as tropical storm. To get to Cat 3 it will need to slow down. Not going to happen. It will be a few mph higher to get it to Cat 1. My opinion.
it all depends on the jet stream. The jet stream could twitch funny, and send the hurrican to mars. Im not joking you. I was in the path of the hurricane in east texas three years ago, and a jet stream picked up the hurricane, and turned it 180 degrees and pushed it back out to the gulf
It's crazy. I remember Harvey was suppose to do somthing similar to this, but it ended up sitting out on the coast line for 2 days before it finally moved inland
Funny they never mention the ICON or HWRF, which has completely put the GFS/EURO to shame with this storm since the very get go.. Don’t let them get you caught with your pants down if the most accurate models so far come to fruition..
The problem is a rain-maker in Southern Oklahoma is on ground only just recovering from the tornados in May. The ground dried about a week back, with temperatures in the 90s, but the creeks are still quite full.
Get off the science and let the people know this is the same track as Harvey. Pay attention to its tract. These types of storms is the definition of the Texas coast. People please use your gut instinct. Ask questions and prepare. 10:25

I had a huge gut feeling since it turns to cat 5. The warmer the water the stronger meaning itll come fast n hard. Be ready houston. Prayers not another ike. Will be worse than harvey.

This guy made me watch 10 minutes of yap, just to see the path of the hurricane, my city gets 6 inches of rain, And I was going to check houston to see how much rain they are going to get, but this video has so much yap, I don't give one GD fudge about houston anymore.
