Tropical Update, Watching Two Areas For Tropical Storm Development For Gulf & Southeast Coasts, Heat

***Tropical Storm...Watching two areas of interest intently this week, as the first area that has the greatest chances for development is in the western Gulf of Mexico associated with a tropical wave coming through the Yucatan Peninsula, with a 2nd area of interest at the tail end of a stalled out frontal boundary northeast of the Bahamas. The Gulf low looks to target areas from the western Gulf coast to Northeast Mexico, while the low off the southeast coast will likely swing back toward Florida, Georgia or even as far north as South Carolina depending on the strength and placement of the Big Bermuda high, that will be providing the eastern North America continent with a dangerous heat wave this week. We could be seeing heat over 100 million people because of a big ridge the heat wave will hopefully end when a cold front comes in and send in cool Canadian air. That’s less humid. Please note. The CFS monthly outlook is subject to change. We had a very wet spring, so I’m really hoping for a normal summer. Well I do expect particularly in the Gulf Coast and then the Florida panhandle the northeast for this hurricane season I believe is considered a while because it could come or it miss because I’m hoping that we have northern jetstream that might be able to push some of these out to see before making landfall, but you cannot rule out the possibility of a northeast tropical storm|hurricane landfall. So i think the big wild car for this hurricane season will be the northeast so it can be close calls. Remember tropical systems are like hockey pucks and can hit anywhere. And also please remember busy or not. It only takes one storm to cause havoc for millions of people and make it an active season for them.

Your area definitely needs the rain. 🌧️ You will enjoy these tropical rains, it is not expected to be a hurricane which is good, but will likely spread a lot of tropical moisture up your way in Houma Louisiana.

It is crazy, my past injuries are feeling it too. The super high off the east coast combined with the tropical lows in the Gulf and off the southeast coast compresses the pressure and isobar gradient making is feel it thousands of miles away. Plus that warm front moving through our region is pushing a lot of humidity and moisture fluxes into our region the next 24 hours. Hoping our weather evens out soon, we need some quiet non extreme stretch of weather. Our bodies are very good barometers.

Hello mark , can you please tell me when the high pressure is gonna leave the deep south , Mississippi west Alabama , so we can get some rain , it's been so hot , no relief , thank you 😂❤😊😊😊

Hello, great question. I think that big high pressure system will begin to lose its grip on your region of Mississippi and Alabama around June 27-July 4th as it retreats further east off the east coast, and allows tropical moisture to funnel into your region. This could really help to provide some beneficial rain and cool things off a little. Watching closely for you, as the heat breaks across the north, it should allow this week that high to retreat eastward.

Thank you, NHC definitely increased it to 70% up from the 60% when I made the video. I expect it to continue to increase. Watching closely as this could be our first tropical storm in the making.
