"Couch cushions" indeed. Nill wins GM of the year (back2back) because of his ability to seek out that coinage. Granted he signed this Suter contract but the scouting team can't predict the future with vets it seems. Although they've been pretty good at picking prospects the last several years.

I can see a 2.5mil retain Max for a RW...Maybe a Batherson,Bjorkstand, or even a mats zucarrelo...Trouba can easily pair with any one of their current LD and Rangers get their RW....

I think some of the former players that became GMs have done great work, but personally I think both Verbeek and Francis should be canned. Kraken gave Francis too much authority and it screwed them in the expansion draft because he was too stubborn to realize that he had to pivot and change his stance because of how things played out with Vegas and most GMs said they were not going to be bullied to keep players, and I just think that his energy is a turn off… anytime he spoke before they even started playing he sounded too patient and it just seemed off
