Ran into a similar problem in Puerto Vallarta many years ago. At the time I was the Pilot for a Corporate Jet. After landing the Mexican Customs Officer let my passengers go their way but when she saw my Metal Detector in the nose compartment of the plane she came unglued and threatened me with jail. Fortunately I had hired a Mexican "Handler" before leaving the U.S. and he was able to negotiate a somewhat diplomatic solution. In other words a $50 Bill into the palm of the Customs Officer made everyone happy.
Glad to see that Mud Bunny is being sun smart in his sombrero! Well done on some fabulous finds. As always, thank you for sharing your experiences and for producing great content 👍👍
R Dogg, I want to go detecting with you. I have learned a great deal from watching your videos. I can only imagine what face time would teach me. I love seeing your hunts!!!!!!!
I started watching your channel when I thought" Who is this crazy Canuck getting into ice cold waters in his chest high waders and heating pads?" Have to admit it caught my attention (and subscription!). One of the handful of metal detecting channels I watch regularly and through the whole episode. Keep up the great entertainment!
You must have had a great time! The scenery was lovely and you got to do what you enjoy...treasure hunting!! I enjoyed watching your detecting on the beautiful beaches!
Hey R Dogg, I really enjoy your vacation videos. They make me want to travel to Mexico. Thank you for the time and effort that goes into putting them out. Congrats 🎉 on all of the great finds!
Hopefully you made that $150 back x10. My husband lost his ring on our honeymoon swimming in a beautiful bay, Land's End, Baja Mexico. It was a thick gold band, into soft white sand, in near 6 foot deep water. Looked 45 minutes for it. I always hoped someone who really needed money found it after a storm on the beach. This was 27 years ago. Happy hunting R Dogg!
Amazing finds on your vacation, thanks for the education on traveling with a detector, which I’ve never done and wondered a lot about. 2 years in and love the hobby and learning from video experiences.
Yet another GREAT Video, R. Dogg! Really appreciate your channel and the video content you produce. Excellent job on the recoveries... Always great to find GOLD!
Thanks for the extra videos the last two Saturdays! You seem to have considerable skill when detecting. Keep up with the great content and I look forward to next Sunday’s hunt! 🤗
The area looks so nice. My late cousin used to detect. He had good luck in the Florida Keys. Sometimes he stayed at a state park. Beautiful place. I'd think there'd be water finds at the public beach in Key West. Bonus, no customs people expecting a pay off. Thanks for your videos.
Wow, that wind was brutal but the location was beautiful! Lots of treasures to be found by the sun beds! Not been on for a while but it’s good to be back watching your videos 😎
Love watching all your videos they are awesome but watching Cancun knocked my socks off ha ha! So many good finds The silver pin with the mother of pearl is very unique👍 thanks for sharing Roxanne Mick
Mother of pearl thing is an earring with attached wire. That style is still made. More of an artisan style earring. The first bracelet that you mentioned that is hollow is absolutely an earring 😁
Beautiful white sand there in Mexico. The only time we have white sand in my area in America is when it snowed the night before 😂😂😂 Amazing gold and silver jewelry. The 10k ring with a blue topaz is stunning. Well, I can tell you had a great vacation very happy for you and your family. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for the video, appreciate the info of your experience going through customs as well as the straightforward, light, enthusiastic approach. It’s obvious that you are just sharing your experience and bringing us along for the ride!
Great video! I love hunting the beach in the Cancun area. As you said, lots of silver to be recovered! And very easy digging! Looking forward to your next one.
I always enjoy watching your videos. You have inspired me to metal detect in parks in FL. I had a great experience today finding a person's diamond earring in a children's soccer field. What a great feeling to find a needle in a haystack.
I also usually pack my detector in its original box, makes me wonder if this is a good idea after hearing your story. I fits so nicely however, and is protected in its original box. Thanks for taking us along on the hunt.
On our last cruise to the eastern Caribbean the security at the port was trying to tell me that the ship had to store my detector. I even pulled up the Carnival website showing her that the guests may keep their metal detector in their stateroom. She was arguing up and down that it wasn't what that meant. Had to call over a Carnival official to explain that yes I could take my metal detector. Didn't find anything near as nice at Roatan or Costa Maya. Great finds.
