hi. My poles are over opened at the top of the second section and won't compress or pull apart. any suggestions?

what about when you cannot collapse it? it swivels from lock to unlock and that's it

How do you engage and disengage the shock absorbing feature? One is locked and the other is not and cannot figure out how to change.
