Thank God Lyn is doing well. I look forward to meeting her. When the love of your life is suffering, we suffer as well. And good job with the windlass.
OMG your Wife was so Lucky Normally a Burst appendix is not good out come Very Happy she is ok and I Wish her all the best and a Speedy Recovery thanks for the Vlog
Very relieved to hear that Lyn is recovering well. A burst appendix is nothing to fool around with. That's what killed Harry Houdini. Sciatica is also not fun, but it is very easily managed and treated. Give her our best!
So sorry to hear about Lyn's health issues. But, glad to hear she's on the mend. I sure can relate to what you both went through, from the patient and patient support roles. Modern medicine is a miracle. 😁
So happy to hear that Lynn is okay now. I do know a burst appendix is nothing to mess with and usually excruciatingly painful. But I know she's tough.. and having a sciatic nerve act up is also very painful, definitely no fun to have.. good job on replacing the winch motor Ed. And a toast to Lynn to feel better and a complete recovery..🍸🍹🍸
Oh I am so sorry that happened, but thank God, it didn't spread. Lyn, my wife Suzan had to have part of her small intestine removed because of Crones disease. They did it with robotic arthroscopic surgery. her recovery went very well as I hope your does Medicine has come a long way in the last few years. I wish you both well, resting in the Bahamas will be the greatest cure. Cheers, 'Rik Spector From now on your Captain, Capstan:)
Hey SO GLAD YUN'S ARE OK ( Lynn ) I have watch yun's for a while now and enjoy every video. Even before the new equipment. Lynn know you don't know me personally nor I either one of yun's, HOWEVER so glad to see that good people get a brake !!! Speedy recovery and I am pretty ( 100 percent) sure Ed will take good care of you during this time period. Safe travels! Roger Out !!
"Pain in the a$$" is a much better name than sciatica. Trust me, been there. One pamphlet I saw advertising a chiropractior compared it to a tootache in the leg. So glad Lyn is ok. A burst appendix can be life threatening. Y'all going to the urgent care and then to get the scan and everything working out in the end is a great outcome except for the pain in the toucas. Fair winds and smooth seas.
I think we all know Lynn's major PITA 🤣 Glad to hear she's doing well! For a change it wasn't a hugely expensive repair to the boat, although between Lynn's burst appendix and the sciatica flare up, having to replace the entire windlass assembly probably would have been cheaper!
Glad she's OK.. BIGGG suggestion.... Lay off the booze for 6 months you'll be amazed how much your body and mental health improves, your skin will recover and not look like leather left in the sun in a junk yard.
A burst appendix is always fatal if its not surgically addressed. Good call to go to the ER. Sciatica can be treated with nerve blocks. (speaking from experience!)
I had that very same problem in Grenada. Luckily we had a friend aboard - someone I served with in the Marine Corps - who was able to pull up 200 feet of chain and a 65 pound Bruce anchor. Have you and Lyn ever thought about venturing beyond the Bahamas and into the Caribbean - the D.R., USVI, Windwards and Leewards? We will be headed back there next year. Can't wait!
@tryingnottosink9107 look into Crown Bay Marina in St. Thomas (for one example). It's our kind of place. There is a nice bar, and a ferry to take you over to Dingy's Beach Bar on Water Island. On the way there we stop at Ocean World and Samana in the DR and San Juan in PR.
Glad to hear she is doing good. If you would not have been back it may have been a whole different story. Mainly because she probably would have laid on the boat for a day or two more in pain before trying to get something done. My friend had that happen, he waited 2 days in pain after a doctor told him it was just "gas". When he couldn't bare it any longer, he finally went to the hospital. He died withing 24hrs after the surgery. They said his body was septic from all the poison. Who knew you would be thankful for a broken windless? Funny how things that you think are bad turn out to be a blessing.
Lynn you are a Lucky Lady,my cousin just about checked out of this world because of the same thing! Hopefully you are on the road to a very speedy recovery! (P.S. I just knew after you do n' that Windless you were prObly preGnant)
I've also experienced a burst appendix!! Blessings to you Lynn!!!! Glad all is well!..... Gonna have to patrion your sorry asses cause..... Need ta know! Thanks for sharing ❤
Boy Lynn was lucky, a burst appendix is and can be very nasty. I am sure we all wish her well, even though she was naughty playing with the anchor winch. Dirty Girl. (satire)
Not done watching, but if I don't ask now I'll forget. Did you have that tool to take nut off windlass on board and is it a specialty tool? Hope Lyn is OK. Mainly a loop video follower, but yours are so interesting can't pass up
OMG that opening was hilarious. I know people say "LOL" all the time, but I was! And then, seeing the image of Lyn in the hospital...two minutes in and this episode is a roller coaster of emotions! So glad to hear the great news that Lyn is recovering well. I guess in this instance you can be excused for no Roger-Out's in this episode!
Hey great to hear that Lynn is doing good. Do you have an email address to contact you for those of us not on Facebook or Instagram? I'd like to send you a photo of your boat sticker I came across at Bimini Seafood last week.
