For this we need to first chedck whybackup has been stopped in hana. Log volumn is only full when backup is stopped.

What's the point in checking once your log volume is full. Anyways, your hana is down as it won't commit the transactions due to log full. You should check it when you find the log volume threshold is crossed because log backups failed. And if you fix it, then it will safeguard your hana database from log full Situation.

Nothing to do with the backup. This situation usually occurs when the secondary database in the HSR setup is down and the primary can't ship the logs.

There are other ways to fix this issue....'alter system reclaim log', hdbcons and try to re-instate HSR before you start moving and removing files and creating symbolic links. You can also increase the size of the volume. If you fuck this up, your database won't start.@@odia_engineer

Not every customer has HSR. Even you don't have HSR , log volume can be full. This tutorial is more specific to log volume scenario in a situation where no HSR in place.
