Tip worked beautifully. At first I blew hot air into it at max setting for about 2 mins on each vent (which didn’t work). Then I blew cool air into every vent at max setting for 5 minutes and it turned back on. Thank you 🙌. Btw I didn’t do any hard resets or anything like that. Just had it plugged in when I was hair drying it then unplugged it when I was finished. Then I waited 30 secs then clicked the on button and everything worked. Update: The day after I fixed it, it broke again. However, this time the white light would not turn on when turning on the Xbox and it would only produce a turning on sound. I instantly realised that the issue was, my power brick because it was completely unresponsive. I swapped the power brick with a new one and the problem was solved. Btw I had the same power brick and Xbox for about 6 years, it was deemed to fail at some point. If you don’t have a new power brick, but have a Xbox 360 power brick just follow this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nxFAgeX91mE.html If you have some soldering knowledge and a spare capacitor you could probably fix the power brick by replacing the blown capacitor with a new one.
So helpful. I’ve been trying to fix my Xbox for about 3 hours today and nothing could work. I came across this video and it helped me so much!! Thanks.
@@aidandunn6989 I handed mines into the shop I bought it from (2nd hand) as I found the warranty receipt. Turns out the knockoff power brick I bought online was the issue so they replaced it with an official Xbox brick
came to the comments to tell everyone that the cold air method DOES WORK!! i’m so dumb man i put a cold bag of peas on my xbox to hopefully make it so it didn’t overheat since the console kept freezing, and that’s when it started giving me the problem of turning on / off over and over again. then i used the cold airdryer to get all the liquid / dust out and it worked !! hella happy, be sure to try that method, also when you plug it back in after using the airdryer method, wait a few seconds for your power supply to be white
my xbox turns on, shows no picture, and then proceeds to make a weird clicking noise internally, it then makes a sound as if the xbox is getting unplugged, it does that a couple times until finally it shuts off.
The blow dryer works because of the heat syncs on the bottom where the mothetboard connects with the rest of the machine.. this happened with my 360. Ypu have to either heat the syncs up for about 4 minutes or you can take a paperclip and stick it in the fan of the Xbox in the back and turn it on. The absence of air makes the syncs heat up and reseats the syncs and the RROD (Red tiring of Death. But since this xbox turns off the paperclip in fan may not work. Blowdryer seems like a viable option. I'll try it...
If you're having the same issue as me, I realized that it kinda just randomly starts working again.. Try leaving the Xbox unplugged overnight and see what happens. I'm not sure if the blow dryer actually worked or I just got lucky. Two days after I uploaded this my Xbox stopped working again and the blow dryer didn't work that time, but then I left it unplugged all day and it worked later that night 🤷♂️
@@richyaranda so far I have the exact same, 100%% identical issue to yours. Blow dryer stopped working after 2 days. Gonna leave it unplugged all day and try tonight. Thanks :)
Yo this actually worked wtf 🤣 my Xbox hasn’t worked in a year and I was just like let me see if I can find a video on RU-vid to fix it. I appreciate you!
Blow dryer thing worked on cool, then turned it on it’s side. Son asked me what your doing I said something stupid, and then it worked. Been working fine for a hour. Thanks Seems like something todo with the fan, if it happens again I’m just going to order and replace the fan.
X I kno I shoot Greens niggas say bro why do you want that well look at Xbox issues and it’s made by a man who is making us depend on him for a cure i don’t care about that but that’s another reason why I hate Xbox and if it was better and improved I would like it
My Xbox broke a couple of days ago it supposedly had the black screen trouble shoot and I tried resting it to factory settings and now it just turns of after 30 seconds and makes this weird noise like it is trying to process something
Absolutely worked! My Xbox one didn’t want to work. I had blow dried it and vacuumed the dust out through the ports and vents and it turned on! Thank you!!!
@@shownolovebankz473 Ok thanks. I might give that ago today. Strange how the same issue is happening to everyone around the release of the new console...
Can confirm!! 👍👍 step sons was doing the same thing but would actually not even stay on for more than 3 seconds. So I opened it and checked power supply and cleaned the console even tho is was virtually spotless inside also tried a new fan cause his would twitch. No avail. Didn't try anything with heat. Only thing I tried was similar to the cold air thru blow dryer trick he did. I just strait up used a air compressor with a blow chuck. Did for about 2 mins, maybe. And tried it immediately after and she came right on. I wouldn't suggest air compressor unless u know for sure, and I mean damn sure, that u don't have moisture in it. I use mine then empty the tank. I never leave it stored with air. I know this thing is dry. So that's y I used it. Either way it worked and he's back on his console playing and gaming with his friends and staying out of my hair. 🤣 thank you
Jonathan Lopez yeh I did the hairdryer it didn’t work straight after, so I wrote this comment. It worked a couple of hours after though and it worked. It’s worked since.
Wow just wow. That last solution with the blow dryer works however I used my mouth as I didn’t have one. All the dust came flying out in large quantities. Xbox came on perfectly.
@@masiTzz for a while only.... but after 1hour play I found that my xbox is actually heating up.... tried 12V mode for fan but still same ... after few minutes runs for 1hour or less then shuts down .... so still having problem... 😪
thanks alot man! i thought my xbox was totaled, I havent been oon it for a long time and now ive been getting on it again after a few months, i was worried it was broken. but thanks alot man really helps, also subscribing 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you very much for sharing thw video with us. I have some questions: 1. Do you have to keep doing that all the time? 2. Have you experienced same issue after that time you made this video? I mean the thing with the blow dryer
This is the hdmi controller chip failing. DO NOT BLOW DRY IT! you are temporarily resoldering the chip to the board by blow drying it. It will fail again and most likely break it worse. If needing this repair take it apart and properly reflow the chip using proper tools.
*Mine was fine as shii and the next day, it just turned itself off 2 seconds after I turned it on. Keeps doing that. Really annoying. Things like that never happened with my 360. My 360 died this year but I’ve had it since 2011. I’ve had Xbox One S for less than a year.*
My Xbox switches off whilst loading COD Warzone pre-lobby and sometimes it doesn't switch off at all and works fine. I cleared cache and reviewed other videos as I thought it was a over heating issue but still cannot seem to find the actual cause😤
Damn the sad part is, thats the last time you'll be able to fix it. My xbox had that issue, it eventually will be a permanent problem. Mine is bricked bricked with the same issue, I fixed it 4 times in the past. No fixing it now tho sadly I've tried everything
Hey, my problem is literally exactly like yours but the blow dryer didn’t fix it and your the only video I can find that is the same problem as me and even the way it started with it flashing and not working after that. Did you ever find out what was wrong or did it keep working after that? I need some help.
Didn’t have a blow dryer nearby so I just used my fan that was right next to me and it actually somehow worked, my home screen just loaded up and it seems to be working fine now
Blew on mine with cold air. Didnt work. Tipped it upright and tried putting in a disk. Now its turning on. Taking a while on the load menu but were makin progress.
This is accurate method but with hot air,my xbox one s turn off after 1 second i blow air from hair dryer for 2 min to all vents of xbox it worked perfectly
THE HAIRDRYER WORKS I have an old old old white xbox one S and used my gfs blow dryer for about 2 minutes with nothing plugged in. Pressed the power button and now it turned on! DONT KNOCK IT TIL YOU TRY IT
HOLY SHIT DUDE, I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MANY VIDEOS I WATCHED AND I HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM JUST NOT ON AS LONG. YOU HAVE MY WHOLE HEART, THANK YOU SO MUCH IT WORKED
Update 2 days later: Xbox is back to shutting off after a minute :( tried the blow dryer again and it didn't work. I must have a faulty power supply or something
richyaranda hey I think my xbox is completely broken, but ima try to get it repaired by someone but if it does it work, my birthday is coming up and I’m just gonna buy a new one but for now I play krunker on my laptop it’s a fun game
richyaranda boys I got another update my Xbox turnt on, I was mad pissed off for a whole 3 months my Xbox wasn’t working, so I left my Xbox in the trunk of my moms car, I did it by accident then i guess is dissolved the water out of the Xbox, then another week passed by I tried it and it worked, it was around (75-80) degrees a day
