Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My CPAP stopped in the middle of the night last night. So did my lamp and my adjustable bed. I pushed the surge protector and the lamp and bed came back on but not the cpap. I watched your demonstration for about a minute thirty. When you said the plug has to be really plugged in hard, I thought oh please let it be that easy. It was. My cord from the wall to the transformer was plugged in but not really "plugged in hard". It's working. And now I'm going to take a nap. You saved this old lady.
One guy wrote that these have a tiny computer inside and might need to be rebooted like one. Unplug it from wall for a few minutes and plug back in. Viola! It worked for me. For those of you getting nasty stuff in your tank you should rinse it daily and once a week soak the whole tank in a mixture of white vinegar and water for 30 minutes to avoid mold. I won't it using approximately 2 cups vinegar and Three cups water. Make sure the whole tank is covered. Works like a charm. I clean my hoses and mask weekly using dawn dish soap and let air dry. Never use bleach! Also only use distilled water in the tank. Hope this helps!
The best part for me was learning about the “hose disconnect.” Sometimes in the middle of the night I want to maybe grab something on the other side of the room but the hose doesn’t reach that far so I have to take my mask off while I’m half asleep! Not no more 😀

Thanks for the help with this, for me it was the water tank. It looked completely pushed in but after seeing your video I tried it and it fixed it. I was thinking I had a leaking mask or something
I didnt know that this part can be unplugged. This "quick disconnect" has not been described anywhere in the manual. I have 2 different tube, one with warm system and without.. I spend 1h to find how answer how to switch this tube and I failed.. This video show me that "things" that I cannot find answer...
Question, just recently the machine is loud with air moving, my wife says it goes along with my breathing pattern and sounds like a ventilator at times. It will wake us up. I have cleaned everything, reattached everything but finally put the machine under the bed. Any ideas?
Thanks so much. The electricity went out 3 hours ago, and I've been trying everything to get it back to work. After watching your video, I wss able to disconnect and reconnect the power pack. I never noticed the green light on it. Now for a good night's sleep, for a few more hours.
At the beginning of the video problems with "no power" were mentioned, in addition to checking for plugs not being inserted in all the way or a wall switch, also check if the outlet the CPAP power supply is plugged into is a GFCI outlet (ground fault circuit interrupter) it may have tripped. Be aware that a GFCI outlet may control several outlets in a room and may not be the one your CPAP power supply is plugged into.
You know I have watched this video three times and every time it has fixed another of my problems, this time was the part about the main hose hooking to any of the masks. I was given a new mask and couldn't get it to work and now I realized I left the quick disconnect part in the hose of the old mask, it all fits fine now, I was convinced I needed a new hose. THANKS
Discuss the engineering problem with the Airsense 10 water chamber box which sometimes leaks around the middle edge due to the silicon seal being worn and how we need to re-silicone the middle rim all the way around to stop this leakage. Discuss how the Airsense 10 in automatic mode will sometimes start blowing air after you take the mask off and leave the bedroom. I had to put mine in the manual mode to stop this problem. It is over sensitive in the automatic mode. Resmed has moved on to the Airsense 11.
Having had this diffuculty with my previous machine, I can appreciate the concern. To me, the problem with the leaking water chamber and a few other minor problems was a sign that i needed a replacement machine, which I recently purchased. The other one will be kept for reserve, with the problems fixed as far as I am able. PNH
If the water chamber is in far enough for the machine to work but not fully seated you may get higher pressure than you expect. At least I did on my machine.
So I am having an issue that my machine is turning off on its own in the middle of the night. I have rez med 1O the error message I get is tubing is blocked. When I check the tubbing nothing is blocking it. What then can be the issue
Hello. Your videos are so helpful. I have an issue with my philips dreamstation 10. I use a ResMed Quattro FX medium. When I exhale, the mask is making a "thumping" sound. I suspect it has something to do with with the pressure setting while I exhale. I cannot figure out how to confirm or adjust this. As I start to relax, I find I will exhale a little more relaxed and the thumping sound from the mask either goes away or becomes much softer. It is so annoying. Do you have suggestions for me?
For two nights now, I have been unable to use my Resmed. I tap the start button and it shows the air pressure rising, as usual. Then, when it hits 8.0, it shuts off, no air coming into my mask. What could explain this?
Did you figure out how to fix it? Mine is doing the same thing. I found a little plastic piece in there after I finally got it out. It came out easily after that but then the next day it is doing it again and I absolutely can't get it out.
I was having trouble with my Airsense 10, the unit would switch off intermittently. This occurred a few times, then it would not power up at all. After a good deal of frustration I accidentally smashed it with a giant sledgehammer....
Please help if you can; my rested air sense 10 has started to have a constant humming noise all night, and it changes some when I breath. It is constant. Thanks if you can help.
My problem has been the total minutes not showing up after taking a nap. The same thing is happening with my new RESMED AIRSENSE 11. In other words, it shows some minutes slept, but not all minutes slept. (ie: 36 minutes showed after sleeping 1 and 1/2 hours.)
Mine quit working for some reason . I followed her instructions and everything was fine but it still didn’t work. Reading the comments, someone posted that they unplugged the unit from the wall for a few seconds and theirs started working after it reset. So I did mine, unplugging for about 5 seconds, and it reset and began working!
Got the light to the corner of the box .Check. Push the cord all the way in no light to switch. Menu Box unlit. If I pull the cord out slightly then the power switch flashes green but no joy. Defective Cord? Switch? Or Unit? Tried 4 deep nasal breaths. Nothing.

I have an issue with debris ending up in my water chamber. I’ve never used anything but distilled water, and I have a so clean. In theory. Otho got could get into the system. But about every 5-7 daysI find things like clumps of mucus (?) or slime(?) happily floating around in the water chamber. Or little pieces of whitish stuff. Where is this coming from and how do I stop it?
Dump your water and use fresh distilled every day. I also put 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide in my tank a couple of times a week and run it with the peroxide over night with no harm. It seems to help boost my breathing/sleep for me and I have been doing this for years.
Do you dump and refill daily? If not, you absolutely must. Also, you have to clean the tube once a week...bestnto soak it in a bath of white vinegar and water then rinse thoroughly and hang to dry.
You gave a good report made a good video but stopped did not continue info regarding power card, My power cord is working, the green light is on but when I plug power cord into AirSense 10, green light on machine trys to appear but disappears and Resmid 10 will not power up. What can I do, this is fairly nnew but out of warrenty, Some one please help me. Medicare will not purchase a new C pap machine for me at this time, due to this one being so new

Does the ResMed AirSense11 come with the ClimaAir grey (heated) tubing in the box, as part of the machine? (or it requires a separate purchase?) Thanks.
Of course you can. There is and add-on cap you buy separately and it clips instead of the water chamber making the size of the machine smaller (I.e. good for travel). I bought it when I purchased the machine but truthfully hardly used it as I find I need the humidifier.
