I'm sorry the world didn't get to recognize him for the talented artist that he is but he did get to live out his dream and honestly not very many people can say that. Hope he's resting in peace.
Indeed, I feel the same way you do. Chris always seemed so upbeat and optimistic whenever he posted a new photo or video on his social media pages, but I cannot help but wonder if he was more frustrated than he let on that he had not achieved more after eighteen years. In the first few years after Dream Street disbanded, I am sure he and his fans thought he would go on to be the breakout solo star of the group or at least one of the solo stars, but so many things kept getting in the way. How many times did he say his EP or album would be coming out in a few months only for the release to not pan out for whatever reason (most recently in 2019)? Chris is at least as talented as Justin Bieber and Aaron Carter, yet they were able to achieve much more than he did. You just never know what will happen with the entertainment industry no matter how gifted you are and how hard you work.
I know its two years old, but this isn't true. The court documents are online and can be read. Jesse McCartney left the group before the court case. The three other guys wanted to leave and form their own group, but they wanted to keep the name Dream Street and sing Dream Street songs. The court didn't allow it because Chris was still apart of the group. This is one reason Chris never was able to connect with anyone besides Greg, because one else from the group liked him.
i’m from indonesia. growing up, it was so rare for us to see something not local. tv shows, local. movies, local. comedies, local. music, local. one time i was about 8 years old, a tv cable of mine aired The Biggest Fans and i was instantly hooked on Chris. so i bravely say, he was one of the reasons why i became interest (and now so usual) to anything western, even speaking english now. I introduced Dream Streets song called ‘Someone To Hold Me Tonight’ to my mum, and she still listens to the song everyday. perhaps also because she doesn’t get fond of songs quite easily, she’s extremely picky. but she LOVES the song so much. i just found out he passed away in June, of covid19. i also just told my mum, she was almost in tears. both of us had a similar thought, that we can’t listen to the song the same anymore, Someone To Hold Me Tonight. a song we both must cherish from now on. I hope chris knew that so many people held so many memories of him. Hope he rest in peace..
@@eternalgemini I plan to make an RU-vid documentary about him because there's a lot of things I'm finding out about Chris. Regards to Covid-19, it is mentioned he has a strep infection which shut his body down; he was in a coma on his last day. Usually the only time this happens is when someone has HIV. There are a few reports from some of his close friends that he had it and was diagnosed about six years ago. Again, I'm still doing a lot of research and hope to put out the documentary in some months on my channel.
Doctor Li Wenliang, who first noticed the virus in a Wuhan hospital and tried to warn his fellow doctors before the police silenced him, was even younger when he died from it in February of last year. Perhaps if his own government had taken him seriously, then he, Chris, and millions of others would still be alive.
I only found out a few hours ago that he died. I am heartbroken. Although I only recently "met" Dream Street in November of 2019, it feels like a member of my family has died. Yup, like many of you have already said, I, too, shall always remember Chris and be grateful for his life and gifts. May his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the Mercy of God rest in peace. Amen. Blessed be God forever.
I only found out yesterday that you have passed away and I still cannot process reality yet. No one thinks it could happen to them, but when it involves their childhood, then it is way too surreal. I still remember the first time I saw you on TV and it actually wasn't through Dream Street, it was Play's cover of I'm Gonna Make You Love Me. That spiky hair was on a whole other level because I don't think anyone else had it... OMG, the nostalgia is real! 😭 No doubt about it, you were a total baby face and the cutest in the group. Needless to say, you were absolutely one of my childhood celebrity crushes and I will never forget that. It breaks my heart to accept I will no longer hear you sing again... 💔
Am I the only one who has such a heavy heart knowing he is nog longer with us? It affects me so much, didn't even know that was possible.. we miss you Chris :(
Chris thanks for being so honest. I really adored DS and miss you guys so much. You guys should hang out and talk again. I believe in you and time will come. Things will happen the way that they are meant to. I am so glad that you had Dream Street. I am glad you didn't do another DS. Because those are your guys and best friends. But i believe in you and you can do whatever you want as long as you have the attitude. Give it everything. We'll be here waiting for you. And if you ever DO tour, and come to Ohio, i will try and be front row happy as ever to see you. Keep dreaming Chris. Second chances happen. It's okay. Keep trying.
Just watched the film 'biggest fan' for the first time n brought back some memories! 😄 Love Chris and wish him luck for his future solo career in 2014! If your every in the UK let me know, would love to hear you sing live. All the best x
Hello everyone, you might be interested to know that the music producer Daffy London, who worked with Chris multiple times during his solo career, has invested significant time and effort into releasing some of Chris's music posthumously with his family's support. You can see more on Daffy London's Instagram and RU-vid pages, where he has posted a new music video for Chris' song "It Was Love."
@@richardgrace4500 What the hell crawled up your ass?? Did you know him personally? Do you have evidence to support your statement?? You need to show real valid receipts to make such accusations and I doubt you have any so shut it and have some respect!!
Chris, Your fans are still here baby! You and Jesse were my favorites in DreamStreet! I wish you all the best! and I will be going to your concert once you start touring!
What a great interview...i especially enjoyed the puppy outtakes at the end. Precious! So great to see this! Such a shame hear about Chris, especially so close to his 35th birthday! He should've made it through on The Voice! So glad he never gave up on his DREAM! He was such a great talent…Gone far too soon! Heaven has some more beautiful music playing!
I love how honest and humble you are. I have loved you since Dream Street days and I still do keep being true to who you are and keep believing in yourself and in your dreams it will happen hugs.
Hmm I can’t remember if I have seen this before but I was Obsessed with Dream Street in junior high even though the band was over when I found out about them. So sad, much love for DS and Chris Trousdale!! ❤️
great interview, Chris. glad to hear some of the air cleared about what happened post-Dream Street. Sucks the way it went down, but it makes me happy to see how loyal you were to the rest of the guys, not wanting to do another boy band cuz that'd be like replacing them. Can't wait to see/hear what you're gonna do next and I look forward to the day I get to hold the proof in my hands. (yeah, I'm a total dork cuz I don't get my music thru iTunes like everyone else, lol). Best of luck!
Sad that he died but at least he lived doing what he liked. Despite what he went through the break up of the band and went to be with his mother a few years then he cane back to what he liked being a solo artist. At least he made the best of his life and is sad he’s gone at least he’s in a better place.
Chris trousdale Everyone miss you alot chris you will miss its your friend , brand and your family . Chris trousdale Everyone miss you Chris trousdale. Rip Chris trousdale. Cross ✝️ From florendo saclayan 111

Chris Trousdale, was my favorite member of dreamstreet and its crazy considering there isn't that much of a age difference. I even listened to him when he was on the broadway kids lol I'd do anything to do a Duet with him
aww chris i love the new hair look lol. i been a fan of yours since dreamstreet days and when i first became a fan i was really liking chris before the others. but when well u have a cd come out u never had one?
Does anyone know why he switched to a new RU-vid channel after this video? I really wish Chris' talent, work ethic, and determination had paid off and his comeback been successful. Hopefully, somebody close to him could work to get some of his songs released posthumously.
Probably with all his other SEVERELY autotuned crap. They guy had an ego a mile wide and treated the other member of the group like shit and he is a HUGE reason the group got royally fuked by the label...he was always meant to be the face of the group from the moment it formed and he was suppsed to be its "solo artist" and when jesse McCartney started developing better vocally and started getting more of a fan base than him he really started treating jesse like shit... the other 4 members kept in contact with each other after the split but none of them really ever had shit to do with him from that moment up until he died...
@Alexandra Nic jesse has talked about it before as has other members ..also if you go back and watch behind the scenes footage of concerts you can,see the other 4 members hanging out together and chillen and goofing off amd he is off by himself and they dont even remotely try to have anything to do with him...he was pushed from the creation of the group by the label as "the solo artist" of the group and when jesse started developing vocally henstarted getting the bigger fanbase and Chris got hella jealous and would bully him a lot...also chris was so arrogant that he openly stated that he was the only member of the group that had any success before the group (jesse had been on amd off broadway and been nominated for two Emmys already) also chris's mom was going thrue extreme depression during that time so she didnt help things at all also after the break up he tried to act like he was the onky one from the group who was managing to do anything amd once again his mom didnt help much by talking about the other members careers stalling outcwhile her son was being highly successful (even though he wasnt he managed a few Disney appearances and two song covers with girl groups that's it) and we all know what jesse became
@Alexandra Nic also chris was the member who sided with the label (you know how you hear that one member of the group sided with the label, well that member was him) and it royally fuked the group and only reason hendid it was because they were pushing him as a solo artist
I can't believe I've been pronouncing "Trousdale" wrong all along. All this time I thought the "ou" was like it was said in "house," but instead, it's like one would say in "soup." R.I.P., Chris. A curse on that virus... and I am sorry for the mistake in saying your last name!
I was the same as you until I heard a recorded greeting from Chris years ago. Just wanted to say you're not alone and I'm sure Chris wouldn't have minded ❤
the fact that chris hasnt made it solo yet makes me think either something traumatic happened to him during dream street or that he doesnt want it enough. I loved him and jesse but lets be real jesse made it big solo and chris hasnt maybe thats due to luck or maybe because jessey was more driven. Im hoping that chris does make it big solo but its 2018 now and this still hasnt happened for him. just saying. even greg raposo is doing more as an indie artist.
PLEASE PLEASE check out Trousdale Tribute on instagram! They are working on releasing some music he was working on, including a song he hoped to get Lady Gaga involved with. #crtxgaga #standunited #dreamstreet
I had hope Chris was going to make it after DS, I think everyone was thinking he will be the one that will breakout as a solo but sadly the direction his managers took him wasn't the right path, as I see it in my opinion. I still wish him the best. BTW, he shouldn't be saying solo anymore, he hasn't been in a boy band for so many years so he should just speak of the music and his goals he has instead of "going solo." because the band broke up long ago, try to move on from that going solo part, you are and have been solo since the break up. Just my opinion.
Lol, always remebered him as the one with Spikes and being the best dancer. He was cute as a teen.....but wat...happ...end..lol Jesse really blossomed tho, esp. in the Beautiful Soul Days!!
He just looks so sad, like deeply. And it’s no wonder since the story I read about what happened for their disbanding, their managers recording them getting undressed in their dressing rooms and selling the tapes.
Which also makes me believe he was “murdered” and didn’t really get covid... BUT THATS JUST ME! Don’t hate me! 😂 Like, it’s been enough time passed (from the breakup) that anyone involved in the hurting of these boys wouldn’t be under suspicion.
He is a HUGE part why the group had issues and split...also he was basically an egotistical ass who treated the members like shit because he was always supposed to be the "solo artist" of the group and the manages and label kept trying to push him.. which is why none of them really ever had shit to do with him afterwards but the other 4 kept in touch. He really treated jesse mccartney like shit when jesse started coming thru puberty and started becoming more popular than him with WAY better vocals
I'm sorry but Chris just tragically died at a young age. Is it necessary to disparage him in comments on his RU-vid videos? The guys who were in the group with him seem devastated by his death and are speaking highly of him and honored him with a beautiful tribute. I don't think it's appropriate to come on here with accusations about Chris' behavior as a teenager (and it is unclear if you even have actual inside info or if this is just hearsay)- I'm sure all of us have times as a teenager we're not proud of! I think now is the time to be respectful and remember how special Chris was.
Jesse always had the best vocals though. Sure, he sounded pre-pubescent, but they didn't put the difficult notes and ad-libs on him for jokes and giggles.
