Why do these kind of clips never show the lines flying and landing on the surface? Kind of like if they showed longjump on tv but you didn't get to see anything after the actual jump.
Ronnie Alsing Hej Ronnie. The film was shot by an amateur with a handheld camera. The most important thing for me is to see how the fly rod is passed back and forth in different ways. The different styles. 180 degrees style, late rotation, double haul etc. There many things that can be studied if you want to learn a little and maybe try it in your own cast. I would like to have some nice tight loops and images of a leader land on the surface in my film too. But I have no chance with my equipment and the energy I want to use my on short films. :-)
Leif Christensen Fair enough. The clip is filmed to become more of study material then, sort of. Makes it more understandable for the rest of us who are more fascinated by seeing the actual long casts. Good luck with your casting!
Linen er Scientific anglers mastery expert distance competition WF5F . Eneste krav til stangen er at den ikke må være længere end 9 fod. Tror der blev brugt alt fra #5 til #11
All well and good. But, put them on a small upland stream with a four weight rod strung with a double taper line....then I can get an idea if these fellas can actually fish.
@@sidewaysrain7609 well these People have a bigger chance of catching fish if they are better att casting so this is not dumb at all idk what you are talking about
well, its a distance comp.. doesnt matter if you´ve seen better… they reached 38 meters with a wf5f line so not that bad considering this is 8 years ago
@@Ludwigvonweinershnitzle lol, and ur saying it looks horrible? ofc it looks horrible, trying to cast extremely far aint going to look nice unless your a master fly fishing caster/instructor… these are just random fisherman trying to cast as far as they can… and its 8 years ago.. plenty of people cast much nicer now…
