Were you fishing at Big Bear this morning/afternoon? I thought I saw you getting out of your truck as I was on my way back down the mountain. Had pretty good luck at the dam today, trout were going crazy at the west end of the lake. Lots of jumping and surface feeding at the dam from 6AM-8AM. Guy next to me constantly had a fish on whereas I wasn't having much luck while using almost the exact same setup. He let me borrow his garlic scented spray on my mousetails and that really seemed to help. Ended up getting 3 nice sized keepers.
Sometimes that's all it takes it helps imo the most when there isn't much current but if there's some decent wind/current I'm thinking they bite more because they have more action like a predatorial bite . Just in my experience of course
Just left big bear lake. And my very first cast i hooked a fish no more than 2mins in. I also lost it, it broke my 4lb leader, so i switched to an 8lb and didn't lose any after..nice videos bro.
I appreciate the comment. I've never heard of the bait company hoss but I did check it out on your website. It's a little confusing as to what those power worm style baits actually do. You don't describe if they float or not, which is important. I would change out those descriptions to be a little more detailed on what the use of the baits are best suited for. And come out with a lot more colors if those are floating baits
