Did a lot of trout fishing and deer stalking, pigs and goats, in my wifes whanau's farm in Otewa. just out of Otorohanga. The Waipa river, awesome trout and tuna(eels) runs right through their two farms. Living in Australia now, but too many snakes, while hunting. Good on you Will. Love your video's Keep them coming. Not funny walking away from a drone, you didn't look up the top where birds land. GPS is good to about 1.5 meters laterally but altitude is only good to about 5 meters so here's how pay for the drone William. You need a old guy who's good at designing and making stuff who's daughter is a programmer to make a device that activates when "Any Drone Crashed" to send not only the GPS but also activate a RED flashing LED and a Piezo Sound device to activate on button push demand. I would think that Every Drone operator would want one and I'd expect it to cost around NZ$30 and most of that is programming all the rest will be mostly second hand parts like a smoke alarm ... William if your drone had been fitted with a red flashing light and something that sounds like a smoke alarm hanging up in those trees do you think you would have lost it? The weight would be about 20g including power supply and probable use Bluetooth to activate. William if your drone had been fitted with. It's a Product, you could make on stormy days, the trick is hacking into the drone program. Anyone can do it, I'd love to see you pay for the drone.
