My first trout magnets just came in the mail yesterday, 100% due to watching your videos. I can't believe how small they are and how many beautiful fish you pull in with them! I have plenty of trout in the rivers around me (Ontario, Canada) but my local river is really stained so I hope I have 1/10th the luck you do with these. Another great video 👍
I prefer to catch my trophy fish in normal free waters. It's more of a challenge and when you get one you know it has been in that body of water for a long time. I just don't do the pay a big fee to fish for big stocked trout. But i do fish free places that have been stocked. But they stock them with little stocker trout. But that's just me. It does make good content for your channel. So more power to you.
I have good luck with trout magnets too. Try using Berkeley power nymphs with the trout magnet jigs in the same manner. They stay on longer giving you more time to set the hook.
Did purchase trout magnets yesterday thanks to your channel along with Addicted Fishing. Landed four today in a small creek. Thanks for the information in previous videos.
i'd love to see you try lake fishing some time! idk what its like out there in virginia tho... Oh something that might also be SUPER cool would be to see how effective different scents are on stocked fish. For example: Anise versus Garlic versus Shrimp versus Crawfish versus Hatchery Dust or Corn....would be super cool and informative! Scents are expensive tho !!!
My experience fishing public stocked, private monster stocked, and wild is that white is the go to color. Bison on cloudy days. Never have had luck with black and green. Must be regional---I primarily fish Missouri.
I have yet to catch a trout in Southern California with a trout magnet I’ve caught them on mini jigs, small minnows, but they never seem to like the trout magnet
60.00 per day? In our state no one owns the water. Connecticut. If you can wade it you can fish it. You just have to wade in from public land. The state stocks a lot of trout. Plus if you charge to fish or hunt, you are personally liable for any injury or death. Love the video though, definitely going to pick up some trout magnets.
i have the black and green color, but the creeks where im at are very cloudy, (niagara falls ny) so should i use a hi viz color? I'm the worst fisherman ever and im trying to learn.
Just a suggestion if you would give a trip away to fish blue springs or sportsmens lodge with you i would enter or even have a raffel for a chance to go i would enter thanks for the content keepem coming
I probably should have stuck with my gut on this one. 25$ and 2 days trying it out. So light it won't cast further then a foot and adding any sort of weight to it and the float sinks. Right up there with powerbait
I disagree on the black/green color. All depends on where you are fishing, imo. I've never caught a trout on that color, but I've caught hundreds on gold and a chartreuse/white one they dont make anymore.
@@NRVOutdoors the color I'm refering to was called lemon meringue. It was a color you could only get online from leland lures. Looks like they replaced that color with the new pink and white one they are calling cotton candy. I think I'm going to get a pack of white ones and some chartreuse dye and see I can create my own lemon meringue ones.
WOW I can't believe I've never thought of dying magnets before... I keep different dies on hand for bass soft plastics but never considered using them on trout baits. Good thinking my man!
East Coast Outdoors i fish in PA all the time. I love showing up on a creek and hear people say aint no fish left. Then i ask if i can drop a line in a hole then pull out some nice hold overs in say late August or September. Makes their mouths drop in disgust. Want challenging go to the streams where these fish are caught in this video and see 20-30 fish in say 1/2 mile stretch and not bite on anything thrown at them. I been on both sides of the catch. I enjoy Cedar Creek whether i catch or dont catch but then you wont see 5pound fish in a wild stream that wasn’t stocked or open to the public either.
Richard Luman II I’ve fished where he’s at in the video and there put in the day before you go in there. Not challenging paying 60 bucks to catch a fish that’s been in there for a day not my thing. It’s fun just not me
Don’t you work? Lol. I’m just jealous as hell at the amount of time you have to go fishing. Haha. Anyway, I think it’s been asked but I’m not sure you answered, do you like cedar springs or blue springs best? Thanks for the videos man!
Richard Luman II They would almost have to let him fish for free, because if he ain’t got a job, that $300 a month to fish would sting a little. Lol I’m kidding, I’m STILL just hella jealous he gets to fish so much lol
They are as even as the sides on a quarter in my opinion.. I try to showcase them both at the highest standars because I truly believe they are both hidden gems hiding away in the hills here in VA.
Richard Luman II I live less than 2 hours from those places, I just don’t get the time to go like I would love to. He has definitely taught me some trout magnet techniques and I enjoy watching him fish places I’ve actually stood in myself. That’s why I was curious which one he likes better.
@@NRVOutdoors didn’t mean to offend, living in the North Woods, we prefer native fish to stocked and generally fish naturally reproducing populations that produce trophy fish, luckily I have multiple Brook Trout, Touge and Salmon fisheries, that meet this criteria , within an hour drive of my home
I'm sure it's a load of fun, but it's really irrelevant of what bait you use with fish like that. They will literally bite anything you throw out there
That's what I said on his other video on this creek. Completely unrealistic. I've been fishing a river off of lake erie here in Ohio since October and haven't caught a thing. This is every other cast...🤣
