@Avodah Productions. Will avail other spots to visit in the same area and other areas visited by Wode Maya. If you visit the website of National parks of Zimbabwe, they have low cost accommodation in the form of cottages and Chalets.
Wow! I remember the warmth of that fire in the foyer and it's history. Insisting on a trout dish at the Troutbeck Inn and thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you B2B and great for hubby to play his cameo role. You should have visited the timeshare lodges nestled to the left side of Troutbeck as you enter the hotel gate. Superb and serene environment, perfect for healing and relaxing. Stay blessed.
The whole of Zimbabwe should by now 44 years later should be developed like that, including the so called growth points, high density locations, and rural villages Kumusha. 😢. Billions and Billions of US dollars where and are there. But in a few pockets of our leaders.
You were so close to a breath taking world's view just next to Tsanga Lodge . Next time you are at Trout Beck Inn ask for directions to the world's view .
I know this sounds awful, but I m white and was born 1954, colonialism, my parents would not allow me to eat African foods, hence I rebelled, absolutely ludicrous!!!! But the way it was the way I was brought up, thank goodness I wasn't the same!!!!
If visiting the parks, ask to see Nyangombe Falls as well as the pit structures and Nyangwe Fort( hope they cleared it). Interesting historical aspects of the region. Climbing Mt. Nyangani needs to be done early and with a parks guide (payed) and requires one to be fit.
It's up in the mountains so it does get chilly, particular during winter. At this time of year it's in the mid to upper 20s but it gets cold in the evening.
