What was funny about my comment? It wasn't meant as a joke. It's clear they found their target audience and have altered the plot going forward to cater to said new audience. It's a risky but successful business strategy; so far.

The theme of the series switched after the second film was released. Why? Because the demographic showed that The Purge appealed more to the urban market. You're insinuating that I am somehow racist or against movies with people of color; You're incorrect. I just think it's wild how the series has taken such a sharp turn. They didn't even attempt to make a subtle, slow transition. However, I understand why they changed their direction. Pandering to your target audience = Profit. It's​ just a smart business decision.
