Nice to see one in action. Been searching for a good deal on a BCS for over a year, but they are expensive. Does the Horse let you offset the bars so you don't walk on what you just tilled but to the side instead?
Yes it does. The handles can be adjusted for height as well as angled to the left or right. The tiller works best making multiple passes, each a bit deeper than the last. Always run at full throttle, and let the tiller do the work. I have turned up virgin (Never deep plowed) while drinking a beverage, by just making more passes with increasing depth on each run.
I see your posting was 5 years ago, but anyways . . . . Keep your eyes open, you can do a Craigslist search around the entire country, sometimes good deals pop up (usually it seems several at the same time). Three years ago, I bought a 1996 Barreto 1620 for $800. Cosmetically, it looks like it fell off of truck (a few times), but mechanically it is tip-top shape. I had to drive 320 miles each way to pick it up, but even with the U-Haul, gas, and tolls added, it came out to be about $1000.
