The 283 ci small-block was a key component of the original Troy Roadster’s character, making a modern Chevrolet V8 the obvious choice for the continuation run of 33 hand-crafted street legal tribute cars. In standard spec, the Troy Indy Special comes equipped with a 495 hp GM LS3 from Pace Performance. Displacing 376 ci (6.2 liters), the aluminum-block engine features 10.7:1 compression and cross-bolted main bearing caps. The versatility of the LS3 allows exhilarating acceleration up to 6,600 rpm, without sacrificing the ability to cruise comfortably and quietly under 3,000 rpm. When you combine the Troy's impressively low curb weight of 2,200 pounds with the LS3's 486 lb-ft of torque, you've got acceleration in any one of the T56's six gears. This unique car possesses incredible street manners and exhilarating performance in one unique package.
The upcoming Troy Roadster continuation will come standard with a 430 hp GM LS3, and we can also accommodate small-block Chevrolets or other conventional options.
