Disappointed that DC United can’t put at least a little effort in video, audio, and production to these conferences. Especially when people who watch are generally fans of the team and want to stay informed + give us reason to tune in every week. Each week people ask and it’s been going on deaf ears for entire season. At least put in bare minimum effort for your fan base and add subtitles on the questions asked. I thought growing the fan base was important to the club 🤷🏽♂️
Time to get rid of the coach. His tactics are awful and the team is lost in their current state. Its tough to watch this team and believe they have a path forward. Better to cut the coach now and get an interim coach while leadership looks for a new coach that has an attack minded brand of football. This guy cannot come up with any offensive tactics. The players hardly ever shoot and just cross the ball hoping benteke heads a goal. Its hard to watch and looks very pathetic tbh.
The problem is the quality of the top line. DC leads the league in interceptions, but completely horrible offensive possessions. The top 3 highest payed players are on the offensive side and making over 1 million. They have combined for 16 goals. Benteke has 14 Klich has 2 and Rodriguez has 0. The D is NOT the issue, before May and all the injuries this D was a stone wall. Even now they are playing well. Let this soak in the top 3 “offensive” players are making a combined 7.6 million dollars. The top combined D, Bartlett Tubbs and Akinmboni are making a combined 260 thousand.
Not much that can be done until the next transfer window opens. Injuries have wrecked our depth. Even then we don't have a lot of cap space to work with. A lot of the mediocre players from the previous regime are on contract until the end of the year and eat up the salary cap. It may not be until next season that we can see what sort of team Troy and the GM actually want to build.
