Troy Polamalu may have been the most instinctive football player ever. The guy almost was like an animal (not slighting him cuz of the hair). But some of the plays he made were off of pure instinct. Players like him are a rare breed. The Steel city will miss you Troy, thanks for the wacky plays and memorable moments.
Bro, some how he always knew where the ball was and/or where it was going. He some how found himself involved on every play. He'd go from one end or section of the field to the opposite side in like .5 seconds lol. Wow. A true legend.
As a 4 decade long steelers fan I of course know Troy was special. He is the greatest big play, game changer player in Steelers history. Woodson was great so was Mel in the 70's, but neither of those hall of famers put in an individual effort to affect change at a critical part in the game as much and as many times as Troy did. Does that mean Troy is greater or better then those guys , or they the him ? NO. Troy deserves his own spot on the giant Mt. Rushmore of legendary Steelers.
+cofside yes! I think people overlook this aspect of his game. Check his big time plays and a lot of them were in the 4th quarter. The definition of a clutch player.
I highly doubt that I will EVER have the pleasure of seeing another Troy (especially not one wearing Black and Gold). But I'm EXTREMELY happy that I got to see this one! Thank you, Troy! A true Steeler, forever! 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛👍💪
His gentle nature was always such a contrast to his fierceness on the field. Truly deserved. Steeler Nation is thankful for everything he brought to the team, on and off the field.
As great as he was on the field, that's how humble - and religious - he is off the field. Kind and charitable. Great husband and father. There aren't enough role models in sports, but Troy is one that every kid can look up to.
I started a second youtube channel. I'll be putting re-loads on it for now. Already put up about 14 videos so if you are looking for something that is not on this channel. head over and find it there. ru-vid.com/show-UCfP9P2OVe6XyCm-kxVVVsFw
Im thankful i can remember watching troy play, growing up i always admired troy. He is the best saftey ive ever seen play the game, no doubt about that. Maybe even The best defender ive ever witnessed. I see alot of the same aspects in Earl thomas too. Two of the best & im thankfull ive got to see true greatness. Lets hope earl can bounce back after this horrible injury.
Go to wikipedia, go search Troy Polamalu, go look at his stats. Then do the same with Ed Reed, and you come back and tell me Troy Polamalu is the greatest safety ever. Troy is good, but he aint no Ed Reed.
+TheSysifos you're a fool if you think Ed Reed is better just based of INTs. Troy had nearly 130 more tackles and twice the amount of sacks. Ed Reed was a right place, right time player. Troy Polamalu was the definition of a game changer. I never saw Ed Reed jump a snap count and sack a QB by jumping over the OL.
Troy, had unbelievable God given talent. The greatest safety to EVER play the game. KNOWBODY made the plays this man Did.Spiritial TREMENDOUS soft spoken man.On the field the Ultimate Warrior,HE needed a cape to go with his hair,HE was like a Superhero on the football field.
the bus, aikman, emmitt smith, darren woodson, steve atwater, peyton, marshall faluk, the list goes on and on and on, but don't stop your vids are legit, keep up the work
