People are bound to offend one another so long as they live together. But when reconciliation prevails, there is no way our society's image can turn into a crime scene. For long The Gambia has been noted for its repute of being one of the most peaceful countries in the world. We almost got this repute soiled during the days we were at the mercy of the army. Unpleasant scenarios that prompted today's event of reconciliation talks is a historical milestone of our once polarized small-knit country. It's my standpoint that when such a dialogue is organised among people who have offended each other it would go a long way in stitching the wedges that kept them apart. May Allah bless the Gambia and prevent the recurrence of what has happened in our country. Ameen!!
