What is up guys? Welcome to TRS19 Tutorial on how to change the menu route in Trainz. This tutorial will cover the basics of getting to know how to properly make the menu route, as well as obsoleting the menu route asset to have your own custom route!

Thank you for tutorial and I just did one for Trainz 22 after I just purchased it after Christmas last year. Mine's just a simple plain black background with a plain black surface (it's lighter than the background), and invisible tracks. It may not be much, but pretty helpful for my computer.

Thank you for following along :D And yes, there is! You can replace the Loading Screen in the same way we've replaced the Menu Route. Just up version the kuid with your desired changes.

@@Swedar I tried to replace the picture and up version, but it needs to be in the ".texture" format. Not ".texture.txt+.tga" format that PEVSoft Images2TGA does. How can I convert an image to ".texture"?

@@burlingtonnorthern6901You should be able to replace it using the .texture.txt + .tga, as that is essentially what .texture file is. Just make sure that the .texture.txt file references the image file.

@@Swedar I've already tried this and other different options, which is why I asked the question. Please try it and if it works for you, then write the contents of the "".texture.txt"" file so that it works for me.

@@burlingtonnorthern6901 It does work for me. I've had a custom loading screen for many years now. I can't guarantee that the contents of my ".texture.txt" file will work for you. But here is an example of how it looks like: Primary=image.tga AlphaHint=opaque compression=none Feel free to join Trainz Official Discord Server or my discord server to further discuss it there.

Just wondering, could you do a tutorial on how to use environmental settings in trainz 19

Generally there‘s a lot of tutorials on the enviromental settings already. Even though AM (Approach Medium) did it in TANE, the same principle can be applied to trs19. But sure! I will add that to my list! Thanks for the suggestion man! :D

All the routes you see on the Launcher and the Loading screen are a part of Central Europe. My friend has made those pictures. He also used his own skyboxes as well.

There is, unfortunately, no menu nor menu route for Trainz: A New Era There is only routes menu where you can see all the available routes.

So I'm using coal country as my route. I placed a trackmark, did all the steps, and wasn't satisfied with where stuff spawned. So, I did the process again. I did everything correctly, however, when I opened the game, all I got was this grey thing instead of the place I had set the menu to. (note: I created a third coal country route and used the second route's kuid *one number higher* for it) Do you happen to know what's going on?

You create it using the Surveyor and then rename it using the Content Manager

Can you tell me how to instant load in TRS19? I can't find the menu where it shows the commands

There isnt really a way to „instant load“ in trs19. I just tried a couple of times to get what I wanted for the video. Regarding „commands“ I think you mean TrainzUtil where you can write commands like „prebuild“ and such. To do that you need to go to settings in the launcher and enable „Developer mode“. But if you are talking about instant load command, you need to go to the session editor, add the command using the command menu and then it will be available to you in that session.
