Have been looking at getting this release and am waiting for the large to be restocked at my shop but if the difference is that minute it looks as though I should just get the medium!! Have you measured the size of the two holes to see what the actual difference is! I would be interested to see!
Yeah, you're probably good to go if you just get the medium. I haven't checked the size of the holes, but it's a circular finger bed, so a larger finger should fit in it just fine. If you want to check it and have access to a printer, there is a link in the description (at least I think I put one in) for my website which has printable PDFs of all my releases.
With all the releases that you review, which one do you like the best????? I have the Onnex thumb release aid. Very comfortable release but I'm still learning....
I think you made a good choice going with the Onnex For thumbs, the Onnex is one of my go-to releases, and I think it has the most to offer in terms of customization. Another one is the Blade Pro Flex. If you shoot 4-fingers, the Blade's finger extension has individually articulated joints at the ring and pinky finger, so you can adjust the sweep separately on them. The jaw closes with the cocking button, so d-loop hookup is very easy. It's been out for a few years now so it can be had for a lower price than the Onnex. For a hinge I don't really have a favorite but the Onnex Hinge is what I'm currently shooting and it's growing on me. It has a few features that are unique to Stan that make it appealing (trainer pin, draw control, adjustable thumb peg). Resistance-Activated releases and I don't get along, but the ones where you hold the safety in on the draw and release it on full draw (so the Carter Evolutions and Stan PerfexR and OnnexR) feel more natural to execute a shot than the ones where you press the thumb barrel in at full draw to disengage the safety.

How soon is the video gonna be out? On resistance releases, there’s too few of them on the market. There’s also myths and statements like it being good for target panic, not letting you punch the trigger, being the best trainer since it obligates proper follow through etc etc. Could you do a more detailed video on resistance releases? Like dispelling the myths, stating the truth and comparing the models available?
@@AdalbertoMaggioJunior I ended up going over the OnnexR at the end of the Hinge video, if I remember correctly. I can't shoot resistance-activated releases to save my life, so I don't have a lot of input to share on them. I do plan on making a video on the resistance activated releases that are currently available and comparing their features and their consistency. However, I'm currently in a state of having too many projects and not enough time to attend to them. So I will get to it eventually. I also plan on doing a video on why target panic is not cured by changing equipment, cuz I can personally confirm that it does not.
