Join me on an exciting journey as I demonstrate how to load up my brand new 2024 Scout Olympic camper! We look at backing the truck under the camper, the jacks, air bags, 7 way connection and much more! The Olympic has some unique adds such as the Newport Marine Dickinson P9000 fire place as well as a fantastic fan. The seating offer an extra space with the National Luna cooler! more propane was added to the standard 10lb set up to run this propane heater! I also show filling up my airs bags to "level" the truck with the camper on the back which improves the ride experience. Check out our other Scout Olympic videos to get more info on this model . Hi there, I have ford f 150 5.1/2 foot bed. 2.7 L twin turbo supercharger v6. Can this engine haul the scout Olympic. The payload is 2480 lbs. if it can, should it add the airbag like your truck too? Thank you

Hey! It should be a great fit with an Olympic! Air bags help the truck ride 'level' . I recommend them even for 1 ton owners because they improve the ride experience.

Hi Ryan, what width of cooler do you need to be able to set it up cross ways like that?

Hey John, sorry for the delay! I have the National Luna 40L it's about 25" wide with the handles. For clearance, I have it sticking a hair over the edge but I love it set up like this. I can sit an extra person but in most cases, it just gives my kids more space to be kids and make a mess :) Best - Ryan

Love it! Where did you get your extra cushion? I did a similar setup with my fridge and got a ICECO 40L and would like to get a cushion to cover the new extra space.

Ya having that extra cushion is awesome ! We hung out in there camping last Friday and it felt way more spacious. I actually don't know which cushion I ended up with but I can measure if you'd like? But you might want to measure your space so it's not too big/small. You'd want to reach out to your local dealer to order a cushion or to Scouts team at support@amlrv.com

Great video Ryan. So is Scout bringing back the Dickinson Heater? Also, is Scout looking into other propane heater solutions? For me I would like to keep my fuel requirements to just propane for the camper (and sunshine) and gas for my truck. Another question, has any customer put an Olympic on a GMC Sierra/ Chevy Silverado with the 2.7 4 cylinder turbo engine? I'm curious to how the truck would perform with a Scout Olympic in the bed. My truck is a GMC Sierra 1500 4 cyl turbo with a 6.7 bed. I'm thinking about getting the Olympic later this year. Thanks.

The Scout service team is able to install a Dickinson heater upon request. That being said, the diesel heater is a much more effective heater. It's higher btu, has a thermostat, better in altitudes, heat can be pushed closer the Goal Zero and maybe a hair "drier". However, my little ones don't go camping in the super cold. I will go on trips below freezing without them but the Dickinson is enough for me and the look is awesome. With the Olympic being a lighter hard sided truck camper, I haven't heard of anyone having issues with smaller size engines. My truck is a 5L BUT you could check out how your truck handles by going and loading 1/2 yard dirt in the back of your pickup and see how it does on hills etc (or another way to get to 1000lbs or so +) . I don't think your truck would have any issue with the weight of an Olympic. It might not roar up hills like a larger engine but it should work well!

We got one of the last Yohos with the Dickinson and loved it. But a thermostat is nice. But my wife does not like diesel.
