This is more my style. Can’t relate to the overpriced rigs and hotels on wheels. I camp using a 2007 Tacoma. It’s a very reliable truck and I stick to a minimalist approach.
This was great! No need to make excuses for your rig. It's minimalist purity, and that means something in this day and age. You must be above Santa Barbara somewhere. I told my wife, "Look, he just made camp on a highway turnout" 👍. I can totally identify. My wife would say "You're on your own in this heat" LOL. Enjoy your camping. Get out there on a jeep trail soon. I have a Cirrus 620 camper. Its small too, and like yours, it can go places many rigs can't 😉. Thanks for the cool content.
Haha!! For sure way too hot for my wife as well. Cirrus 620 are really really nice campers! This was northern Malibu above the PCH. Planning a trip to Santa Barbara soon up near Cachuma or lizards mouth. Thank you for this awesome comment very motivating.
ALl I could keep thinking about was a hard shell roof top tent, then you could sleep up there, and make more of a permanent table set up and/ or sitting area. Maybe a hatch in the roof to get up to the tent that would be cool.
Thank you! Hope to get back to Texas soon. I love that state. Last time I was there I got to tour the Cowboys stadium, see the locker rooms and toss around a football on the field. The screen is absolutely incredible!
You did this very smart! I am about to gut my 2007 StarCraft RoadStar II and do the same. Technology is antiquated and there are more efficient ways of powering things these days. Great video!
I just subscribed. Love your style. We took the kids to Kings Canyon two years ago to see the Sequoias in our pop-up camper and minivan.. Being from the midwest, we can not wait to get back out there and do more exploring.
good stuff. jealous of the truck, i know what you mean when you say "never selling, i know what i got" haha. i had a 2002 4runner limited for almost 6 years until it sadly caught fire when i was offroading with some friends one day. still waiting for the perfect one to show up on bring a trailer. thanks for sharing
Did you see that 1997 4Runner Sr5 4x4 that sold on bat for $39,997? it was a 5 speed with a 3.4l and dual transfer case. I’d post the link but don’t know how. Super crazy price but I understand. Dude knew what he got LOLOL. I’m very sorry to hear about your loss. 2002 limited are amazing, sounds like yours was a fantastic rig. I’ll keep my eyes peeled on the sites and let you know if I see anything
i did see it yes. crazy some of the prices that the earlier models with low miles can demand. i had a mild build, 33's, ARB front bumper, old man emu lift, sliders, safari snorkel and an ARB air locker. absolutely loved that rig@@YoterHome
I graduated to a better small class C to fix all the things I was missing in my van camper and other rigs. Congrats for starting small and doing it! Wish you much success.
you got a new subscriber. 1 minute in and I am pretty sure this video would be my kind of tea! can't wait for you to reach great heights. Sad to hear about the surgery part but hey slowly but surely even though I am not sure what happened. but things gonna get better eventually fam. Gonna watch your adventures from day 1 from now on haha
Thank you so much for the good vibes! I really appreciate it. I’m looking to figuring out how I want my final camper layout. Mostly, I just love driving my taco and getting away even if only for a brief moment. Thanks again!
@@YoterHome didn't expect you would call your home a Taco but that'll do 😂. But yea daily stuff seems to work somehow. I mean sure it's not aesthetic but it is somehow calming and fun. But you gotta know how to interact with your people. But I can see you have more than 100k subs in no time.
