@It's Private it's all about the gvwr. if the gross vehicle weight rating is 26,001 lbs or more you need a cdl. if i only had my chauffer's liscense and drove this truck around, I'd bring a tape measure from home and find a way to check it. and that would be after i checked with my boss and company policy.
the vast majority of big rigs with a trailer are 13'6". that is a well known height(at least among truck drivers). this is not one of those. you would think that on his 1st day his boss would tell him: this truck is 12'2". only drive under bridges that say 12'3" or higher. but there's not great communication in the transportation industry.
