Quick video of a compilation video I have done, of close calls I have recorded with my dash cam. Thanks for watching and SUBSCRIBE ! FACEBOOK page: / grtruckingdemolition instagram: grtruckingdemolition #truckdriver #dashcam #closecall
People say driving a truck is a lazy persons job but with all the bad drivers that you have to drive for them its hell of exshausting being behind the wheel for 10 or 13 hours a day
I’d like to see those people drive 1000 miles without getting sleep, I’m not a truck driver but driving 5 states under a day without rest is exhausting
I guess you learn to stay calm when that's the norm day-to-day in these parts. You just kinda sit there going to yourself "oh OK, you're trying to get me to run you over, gotcha, that makes sense", shake your head and go about your day. Lane blockers and people exiting from 4 lanes over is considered "acceptable" in/around the Houston area. It's more suspicious and paranoia-inducing to go someplace like Seattle or southwest BC where drivers aren't actively trying to block you, take your front fender with them or pull some other chicanery. *LOL*
My dad is 72 and has been driving dumptrucks/trailers for almost 50 years and I don’t know how he still does it. You have to be looking 10 cars ahead of you and assume someone is going to make a bad decision in front of you. It’s scary man! Stay safe and enjoy the holiday!
My god the things people do to truck drivers, my dad drives a log truck and he’s always getting cut off and whatnot, I’m sure you know what I mean but it’s just crazy how dumb people are now days, I’m only 17 and I drive and I always respect truck drivers, they drive to live and anything helps them, keep up them sweet videos, love your truck sounds amazinggg
As a child, I wanted to drive big trucks like my uncle did, but he told me drivers are dumb and if anything happens regarding accidents, it's your fault appearently... It's so stupid how people blame the truck drivers and not the single digit IQ drivers of the little cars.
Respect to all Truckers. I've admired you since I was little. Never liked the idea of hauling all that weight because its a lot of responsibility, peoples lives are on the line and these idiots forget trucks don't stop like a little tin-can car. lately I've had this idea that maybe thats why I should pursue it... because I do care, and maybe understand. Its however many Tons of responsibility.
Rule Number one: never ever cut infront of a trucker all that space is used for slowing down because 18 wheelers are heavy and the brakes can't hold that much
People that do this, are just as stupid as boaters who find themselves underneath Ohio and Mississippi River barges. Yes, they think that barge can stop on a dime too.
Staying cool helps alot cause if you gone sit and drive all day and get pissed of on all those all day long your in for either a heart attack, high blood pressure and it's gone ruin your day with all the negative emotions. GR shows that you dont have to be another dick on the roads. Cudos fort hat.Very professional driver 🤘
Just got my cdl a couple weeks ago. Making me nervous man. My dad was talking to a local driver and he said he gets brake checked and pulled out in front of multiple times every day. People need to learn how to drive
One thing I have learned over the years is always run with your headlights on. For whatever reason peoples brains recognize headlights better than anything else. My guess is its because at night, thats the only thing our brains register as vehicles so its easy conditioning and recognition.
It always amazes me that anyone could think these big ole trucks can stop fast. I’ve always taught my teens when learning to drive….give a trucker double the space u give any car. If ur on the interstate…triple it if ur changing lanes. Be sure u are no less than e car lengths away when u get in front of a semi. Don’t slow down and don’t try to get around them in a hurry. They can’t stop. 😊
People just don't have a clue of what danger they are in, when cutting off a truck at a stoplight/ stop sign, or in heavy traffic, where traffic can suddenly come to a halt. They didn't teach us that shit in driver education back in the 70's, at least to my memory, I didn't know until I started driving trucks myself in 1987. I almost turned a tractor trailer over, trying to avoid two pickup trucks who collided in front of me, on interstate 70 , just west Zanesville Ohio 15 years ago. One idiot was purposefully holding up the other, when that guy decided to pass me on the shoulder, and the one in front decided to get in front of me to prevent the other guy from getting ahead. After years of experience, I anticipated what was about to happen, so I let off the gas, and started breaking. Both of those idiots got into the right lane at the same time and place, and bounced off of each other, and causing me to nearly jack knife on dry pavement, and causing an accident behind me. Luckily for me, I didn't hit anyone or anything, and when the cops got there, witnesses were already pointing fingers at the two assholes who caused it all.
You don’t worry about your driving. It’s everyone else that has to be watched! Hey, from your other vids, do you have a physical address for Herreras Truck Sales or a website? Thks
Also when I pull the 3 axle lowboy with the 250g and I get in a tigth spot theres always a car in the way thats freezes and dont know what to do and I have to go on and pass inchs from them because im sure not gonna back up with the huge blind spot on a 11.6 feet wide excavator and 10 feet trailer so I scare them sometimes lol
Man some luck you have. I thought compilation of other trucks not just you lmao. Ever since I had my first CDL job and ppl did that to me. I always take consideration of truck driver now when I’m driving a regular car lol.
I doubt anyone here has driven in Hong Kong. Local custom there was, and might still be today, that exactly five cars will run a red light. You best not try that if you’re number six because others will be counting, nor stop if you’re number four. So don’t go on green- wait for those other five. I’ve never seen anything even close to that.
Yo I would of been sitting back in my seat and just staring at that truck that got rammed into. I’d forget everything I’m doing and just sit there and have that “damn I just witnessed that shit” look lol lol
Come to Sydney, you will have a heart attack. Have had too many heart pounding moments I am sitting on 180/100 now. Some people have no fucking idea the ammount of carnage we can cause in our trucks due to their moronic behavior. Stay safe out there mate.
You know better bro 610 is a bitch I never stay on the right side only when I’m 3-5 miles I’ll move over to right side I stay in middle or second to the left, increase your following distance also crazy people out here just let them go by bro people want you to hit them for a pay day. 80% of the time (I’m speculating) they will blame truck driver even with a camera. I run hazmat tanker so I’m always chilling as far away from people as I can.
I dont have a dash cash cam because I kinda drive like a maniac sometimes tailgating and abuse the jakes to make em understand they are in the way when im stuck behind a slow poke in the middle lane and I cant overtake on the left because its a no truck lane hahahah
I see why you got the dash cam. This was the dash cam you purchased on one of your previous video but didn't have the SD card to be able to use the dash cam right when you purchased it right?
I don't know if it was the channel's vid's or some one elses, but i can tell they work in the Dallas, Houston area. because i know a lot of the exit's and area the vid's are taken and it's appositely right. this happens all the time. I'm a Texas reginal driver
Okay but what about truck drivers who get upset if a car gets in front of them going slower bc it takes time to brake yet when I’m driving back and forth in the desert, truckers have NO PROBLEM switching into my lane with no time for me to slow down??? It’s happened sooo many times. I’m doing 80-85 and they’ll jump right in my lane doing 60 with about 15 ft in between as if putting on their signal at the last moment gives us enough warning time to slow down. It’s equally as dangerous. When truckers complain about cars- they do the same exact shit
We're constantly telling drivers to respect trucks and give you guys more space. Could I use a little of this to show how drivers are making it dangerous for you guys? Thanks and stay safe out there!
And clip always happens to me ,I honk at their asses and make them ride the shoulder to the grass .but usually train horn works .most times ppl drive on the shoulder to cut because they sont want to be patient ,but I really hate that part of the loop on both clips
