People request this video a lot, so I figured I'd make a quick video showing the gear that I carry in my truck every day - vehicle EDC gear basically. Some cool stuff, some normal stuff. Maybe will give you an idea of how to organize your vehicle and what to keep in it. It covers emergency supplies as well as normal every day carry stuff.
Some of this stuff is specific to a Tacoma, specifically the 2016 tacoma, but most of it is just for whatever.

Damn, you are set! I've got a lot of the same gear you showed. Same stuff in my truck, just not even close to as much. Too funny. I kept saying..."I've got that...and that too." I'm a truck fella, so I really dig your pickup and the color with the wheels. I don't have nearly the amount of gear you do! Huge flashlight nut also. Recently picked up the Olight S10R Baton II. Love those lights. What a killer setup! Continuing to enjoy your updates. Glad the dogs make it in the videos. Keep up the good work brother.

Suggestion: I've always had the window rain guards/visors. You can crack the windows when it rains etc...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Maybe mud flaps considering your location? Those are reasonably priced upgrades, so I thought I'd mention that. Looking forward to the truck bed gear!

I have had a pair of binoculars in my centre console for ages, and they get used all the time. Everyone should do it; once they're in there, you'd be amazed at how much you use them.

I highly recommend you do that ASAP. Proper ear protection is essential for preventing hearing-loss later down the road. You could become one of those old folk that are as deaf as a brick, constantly yelling “HUH?”. You don’t want that, do you? Use ear protection.

I don't see how some people think that this is cluttered. Everything is (roughly) organized and tucked away. It's not like you have everything sitting in the passenger footwell in a giant pile. Your storage compartments are full like they should be

Yes!! Another led snob, glad I'm not the only one!!! My vehicle lighting looks like it has refrigerator led lights. lol. Led offroad bar is a great investment. Also, I have sprayed truck bed liner on the entire underside of my vehicles to make them pretty impervious to rust. Under seat gun safe??? Lastly, Hillary for Prison 2016!!!!!!

plus he wouldn't have multiple 100$+ flashlights (one at 200$+), + a broken Led flare, a 100$+ folding knife (I know you carry one), a 30$ water bottle, a 1000+ dollar AR with a 500$+ optic just rattling around behind his seat, a leatherman MUT, but no other tools (??), a 30$ folding bolt cutter (why), and then on top of all that a GHB which I'm guessing has another 200$ flashlight and whatnot in it totalling about a grand.

Have a bunch of other tools under the backseat - socket set, bit driver, various wrenches, hacksaw, pliers, etc. But I apologize for having some high dollar items in there... there is some cheapie stuff, too!

+Last Line Of Defense no need to apologize, my main point was to kinda think about paring down how much you bring around with you. You won't use or need a lot of those duplicates. I know you carry a flashlight, so just one of those with extra batteries would be fine.

You shouldn't keep batteries and coin stored together. The coins can short the batteries and it could start a fire or leak battery acid.

It's mostly when there is extreme heat and the bottles are stored there for a long time (years.) Neither of those two factors come into play for water in my car. But yeah, I know there is a lot of debate on the topic, and thanks for the warning!

Nice setup... I started working on my truck. Recently bought Coverking Ballistic seat covers that have the mollie system on them. Drivers rear seat has the first aid packs and a Fox Rescue knife.

You are the first guy i have seen say they want to pay the truck off first before modding...besides myself. I bought a 2016 Tundra longbed double cab recently and will pay it off first before any major mods. Smart move! Nice Tacoma and i love the color. Toyota always the smart choice.

Spare headlights in the glovebox is not only being prepared they can get you out of a ticket. Get a pair of warm gloves kinkos are cheap and warm ski bums everywhere use them. Losing manual dexterity in the cold when you need it is no fun.

Maybe it was there but a small roll of mechanics wire, some spare fuses and set of jumper cables - even with your little jumper gizmo. Have you actually tried either of them out? I mean starting a stone dead vehicle? I had one of those jumper/ compressor/ light/ microwave/ cuisinart do dads and the one time when I really needed it to start my truck, it was dead, dead, dead! Even though I had a schedule for regularly charging it so don't put to much faith in them. And as you know, they take up a boatload of room. Maybe you showed one but might want a leash for your pup so if in a SHTF or other emergency you can keep him close and safe with no worries of him running off. On your truck (especially considering your fondness of flashlights and LED's) consider a LED light bar. When you do get around to a suspension lift you might also want to consider adding air assisted helper springs that have their own compressor. added advantage is that you can tap that system to allow you to hook up an air hose for flats or refilling tires if you had to air down. I like the plastidip treatment too. I'm planning on doing a little of it on my Tundra.

If you have a place to mount this in your truck, this production in the video I link looks like a great option to secure an AR-15 in a truck. This video they did it on a Ford F-150. Look at roof mounting a goal zero solar panel. Friend of mine did it and he used the 90w bolders, mounted 2 of them and has a 180w solar backup. Works great for charging the batteries he uses at work(contractors shit). Uses a simple steel frame to keeo the pannels protected as well as the truck. Mounts like a ski rack and comes off ez too, not that he takes them off, however he can.

My Dodge Ram has the storage bins in the back like you put in, but from the factory. Use them to keep all sorts of things in like med kits (single cab so it's right behind me), mags, and tools. Very good idea.

Check out the jiggle siphon on RU-vid. Can refuel from a fuel can, but can not take fuel from a car or truck... Another great Christmas gift. tjl

Tim Lipinski Interesting. I just want to keep a small pump to siphon gas from other gas tanks in case of a real emergency when Im caught in a bad place. I have the same truck as the OP's, and virtually anyone can open and steal gas from our trucks. I started keeping gas in a small can too which I cycle through every 2 months.

The Jiggel siphon is a one way brass fitting to siphon gas from a fuel can and will not fit a car or truck... Check out RU-vid for details. tjl

I need to put a med kit on the transmission hump of my toyota. Great idea. I typically have one in the truck in the back seat. Needed it today for a cut and the search for it in the back sucked. Gotta relocate it up front. Got 4 staples in the dome, not fun....
