I knew one day it would happen and we would get crisp 4k footage of a sunk truck at BlackPoint Marina. Your watching the 4k version of the Chit Show at Blackpoint marina. Alfred Montaner the King of Haulover
AWE dude AWE man WOW I mean WOW I like just can't BELIVE IT. AWE man WOW NOooo Way DUDE I just can't... WOW I didn't even see that. No Way. Just like DUDE WOW. No WAY WOWWW. Worst commentary in existence known to all forms of life.
@@accordino86 Do you hook to both at the same time? Are you dragging it on the tires or do you pop the neutral release for the 8-sp? From the OEM part description "Tow Hooks are rated with a towing capacity up to 5,500 pounds or 1.5 times the vehicles GVWR (depending on vehicle)."
That WAS a nice looking truck for a dodge.....I'm a Chevy Silverado or GMC guy. Hope your insurance is good. Love your videos Alfred! Gives me a little refresher of what not to do at the ramp here. I live in Wisconsin though. Glad fred didn't show up for an easy meal.
Would you want to do it with the gator that's always hanging around? Yell around the ramp. "Anyone want $20.00 to put this hook on and be responsible? "
What is the trailer disconnected from the truck, Who knows where the trailer could end up! Are you going to swim out there and keep surfacing every 30 seconds for air! You always have to plan for the unexpected! But because you have no experience you can’t see that far ahead! Also that truck was definitely more than 5 feet under!
@@carlyletitus Yeah because the gator knows the difference between a certified diver or a guy without all that unnecessary gear. What's the police diver gonna do, shoot the croc?
@8:50 you can see the driver's side front tire turning, so I don't think the transmission was in 4wd. Not being in 4wd is how the truck got into the water, but I'm not sure how the right front wheel got destroyed like that. It's possible it caught on a piling on the way into the water, but it's more likely that it was hung up on something and the tow truck caused the damage.
He might have forgotten to unhook the chain from the trailer up front as to why the trailer was under the boat at the start. He must have started the boat and put it in reverse thinking he was getting off the trailer, but instead dragged the truck off the ramp and floated to the corner where you first saw him.
It's why I always float the boat away from the trailer before I pull out. My truck is lifted and 4x4 so I don't mind getting it way in there to let it float off. Additionally I got a trailer that is for a larger boat and modified it for mine because the larger trailer has a longer tongue so I can put it much farther in before my back tires even get close.
Man I've seen 3 or 4 of the vehicles sinking and boat trailers and all but this one with the pick up truck and all just blows my mind and tell your wife that I'm sorry you're not sitting at home with her but we all love you there's the stuff you don't see anywhere else
I’m on the boat at the left side of the sunken truck seen at the end of the video with my son .... when we got to the ramp the truck was still underwater ! Seen that in real-time really teaches you to be extra careful at the ramp ! Specially black point that is a little steep and slippery during low tide !
@@Jtruthd definitely it will help a lot ... I pull my 23ft walkaround with an SUV Atlas 2019 that is 2WD (front traction) and only when the tide is too low I experience some slips pulling out... I definitely don’t feel 100% safe with a 2WD
OMG bro. I’m only at 1:03 and I already see the trailer guide sticking up out of the water. You know the car is down there too. Alfred I’m so disappointed that you haven’t figured this out yet! Lol 😂. I’m just giving you chit bro!
Still watching waiting for Fred to show us 🤣 Lmao at the Toyota in the background He backed over Fred’s tail pissed Fred off so Fred ripped the tire off. 🤣🤣
Diver did all the damage. Wtf is he thinking wrapping the chain around the control arms?! Those big Rams have big solid tow hooks on the front connected to the frame.
You live at this place bro ? That must be one of the better locales around... All those under budget zambroni's trying to get there vehicles into the drink... great fun man....
LOL. Nobody is hating. We are all here watching, hoping that someday this isn't us, but if by will of God it is, that you are there, in the trees, recording and commenting. For Posterity!
*I've probably launched and pulled a couple 10,000 boats in and out of the water at launch ramps* *I can't recall ever having the river swallow my vehicle or my trailer.* *How does that chit happen?* *I used to launch a 25 foot, Bayliner, Saratoga Express ... Pulled by a 1974 Ranchero ... Never had an issue like this.*
Can't tell from the video, but if you place a chain through a wheel, it usually strong enough to withstand winching force. The recovery hooks mounted in the bumper are more than strong enough to winch on. They are not designed as a vehicle hold down for load securement. To me what it looks like is that the truck went completely off the concrete ramp, and as it was being winched, the wheel wedged against the ramp concrete. All 4 wheels being locked up as the two driver pulled the truck and trailer completely out means the transfer case was engaged in 4 wheel drive and the transmission was in park.. I've done too many water recoveries, and winch loading in water isn't than much. Mud on the other hand creates a suction that required a vertical lift prior to winching.
I see trucks in the water all the time and I don’t understand how this happens are they not putting it in park and applying the parking brakes before they get out, or is all of these things failing and they are jumping out without applying anything?
A Lineman for the local electric company. He's going to need another season of bad weather to pay for that... after all was a nice truck. Ouch... that sucks!
If I was that guy would have the tow truck operator pause on the ramp just enough so I could load the boat too and then have it put up out of the way of the side cuz that's one less worry for the rest of that day until that mess is cleaned up.
In all my many many decades boating I can honestly say we have never seen anything like what goes on in Florida ? Is it the heat ? What is the underlying factor ???? Alfred the diver who hooked up the first time hooked up in the wrong place and it ripped the front wheel out from under the guys truck
Michael, it only takes one mistake and quickly Chit happens ! The Diver knew that the truck would be "Totaled", so he just worked up the hook at the easiest spot, the wheel.
It's easy to buy an intensely directional mic (shotgun mic) that will pick up every conversation you want, and not the others and music. Just sayin'! 7:20: "Fish ON!" They didn't need a second winch. They simply needed to turn the steering wheel. They broke the tie rod arm if not more. The tow guys (you see who they work for) ruined that truck, making a bad situation far worse, and they drive it away with the brakes on and transmission locked.
Guy went too far back, rear floated, game over. It sort of looks 4wd from the tires, but I'll bet it's 2 wheel drive and he was boned once it floated. Might have left the boat straps on and made it worse too. You can see he had it in park from when it came out. The fronts aren't turning, but then we called a diver in to go all 4 feet down and wrap the chain around the right front hub/rim (which wouldn't have been a good idea empty for goodness sake), and then when the tow truck driver gave him the "dude, fix it" message he ran a chain through the drivers rim and locked that up solid too. Nice. I mean sure its already totaled, and anybody running around in a black truck in Florida with gun emblems on the back is surely not with NASA, but this seems a bit like a rookie move by the driver and the diver both.
I saw the pipe first thing. Now imagine backing in your boat and hitting a submerged truck. Looks like the first hook up was through the rim, bad idea.
No judgement here bra, I've been watching "chit shows" at boat ramps since the 1970's and it never gets old! Its the best FREE show in town!! We ALL love stupid people doing STUPID CHIT!! LMAO... You wanna see even better chit shows come up to Tampa Bay!?! We have some classic dumb asses up here!! LOL
