You sure do you know how to paint a pretty picture! Looked like a good time, always wanted to try winter truck camping. I’m picturing some thing like hot tenting a Polish Lavvu with a ammo can stove. And what better base then a truck bed. Loved the morning drone shots👍🏻absolutely stunning scenery Wonderful production my brother💪🏻

Seems like you always have the luck of having a good cook with you. LoL. Worst part about camping, is having to stow away all your gear when you get back home. But that's part of it. I just replaced my portable buddy heater. The striker died and I tried to clean the line out with a Qtip and the cotton got stuck in the line so I pulled it apart and ended up breaking the line. Now I have spare parts.

That's what you want in a freezer Doug a sleeping bag that keeps you routed to the spot. Lovely cold camp - the food was top rate to - I could taste it from here. I'll go with the hockey stick also. I've only used my big buddy in my truck tent at -3c . No problems. Had it hooked to a 20lb tank tho. Was nice to have, but sure made condensation. Great channel bud.

Thanks so much Rob. I think I needed to ensure more ventilation for the Buddy Heater to work as it should. Using a 20lbs tank is a great idea when weight is not an issue. Appreciate your support Brother! 👍🏻👊🏻

How's she goin'? Good looking camp set up!!! I like your sleeping kit!! I once slept under the stars one winter night and it was -26. I had one of the Canadian Forces sleep kits like you have and I wasn't cold at all!!! The worst part was I left my boots outside and they were some cold!!! LOL That was some good looking steak you guys had too. What were the payments on that if you don't mind me asking!!! LOL Some nice spot you guys had there. Looks like you had a real nice trip!!! Wow -13, sounded dam cold but a real good test of the gear. Oh yeah, the food looked top notch, those streaks were awesome, as were the fixings, just what you need on a cold night. Loved the colour you got in the sky, what an amazing sight to wake up too! I will check out Marks channel, despite him trying to hog the camera all the time lol, cheers Alan

so peaceful... nice heater and set up.. we got a tank top "bomb" looking heater to use in the desert winters when we are sitting around, works really well but not in the tent obviously... wow that sunrise!! love the truck stick too great trip thanks for taking us along!

Hey Doug. What cot are you using to fit over the wheelwell in your truckbed? Never had an issue with my buddy heater. I do run a filter on my unit especially if running off the bigger 20lb bottles as propane is not considered scrubbed or clean. The filter helps to keep the dirt out of the unit that can clog it up. Canadian sleep system is great. I also have the bivy to go with it as well to keep dry.

Hey Al! The cot was off Amazon a few years ago and doesn’t have a name on it but it was about $70 and holds 300lbs. I’ve only run the smaller bottles on mine and clean the nozzle with a Qtip and rubbing alcohol after every use…now 😂 Great idea using a filter. Yes the bivy will definitely make a difference especially with it being down filled. Can’t wait to see some of the fish you catch this winter!! Thanks brother! 👍🏻👊🏻🍻

Good to see y'all to back out in the bush brother, I dig your sleeping system but I'm surprised that y'all are having problems with the buddy heater, I use the fire outta mine with good success, it fired right up in -9F but then again I have mine hooked to a 5 gallon bottle too!! Hey Dan I think mine had issues with cold combined with the gas nozzle being dirty otherwise in a space with poor ventilation, like a tent, it’s going to automatically shut off periodically as it’s supposed to so not a bad thing. Happy New Year Brother! 👊🏻👍🏻🎉

Sleeping bag in a hockey bag is warmer than one squashed into the compression bag. Awesome stick handling getting Marc covered with snow. I keep an inner and a liner in a canoe pack in the jeep. Looking for an outer. Thank you for taking us along, Doug and Marc. Stay safe and stay warm.
