I know this has been out for a couple of years, but you are cute as a button. Absolutely love the WS. The color y'all picked out is amazing 😍! I absolutely love that green. Y'all need to kinda upgrade to a bigger sleeper. You know kinda like an ARI. So y'all can stretch out a little more. But the truck is beautiful, no doubt about it. Love your enthusiasm sweetie. Y'all be safe out there. The craziness seems to be getting worse. Of course you sleep in the truck. When idling wasn't frowned upon, sleeping in an idling truck is some of the best sleep you could ever get. Having that diesel rocking you and singing you a soft song all the way to you happy dream place.

I really enjoyed your video. Do you have a diesel heater? I know some new tractors are coming with them it's supposed to eliminate idling. One of my friends has one and he was telling me that there is so much heat that comes out of that thing that he has to open a window to balance the heat. Look forward to watching more of your. I most definitely hit the like button and subscribe button. Just remember keeper dirty slide down and shiny side up catch you on the flip-flop.

spoke to a guy at a recent truck show here in Australia. he has a Kenworth and a western star. for long trips he prefers the western star lot more comfortable. nice rig.

this Western Star definitely took some getting used to. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we had stop trucking earlier than we had planned. So we're just trying to figure out what's next for our channel.

I got that exact seat a few months ago. Wasn’t too fond of it at first since I felt like I was going to fall off it “WIDEride” but now I’m used to it and I can drive all day and not have my legs/hips ache like I did with my stock freightliner seat. The Bostrom seat is pricey. But worth the comfort and you don’t feel it the next day

Nice video of truck! You gave an excellent tour. Would it be possible to remove the top mattress for more storage? Place bungie cords or bungie netting across the frame of the bunk, store rolled bedding and extra bulky blankets, store clothes in packing cubes, add some hooks to hang jackets, clothes on hagers, unlimited storage space ideas! I came across this video when looking at van camper ideas. And I love the seats you have! May you both have much success in your travels!

We did remove the top and added deep shelves, it was filmed but I never edited it. But yes, to answer your question, removing the bed is possible. We opted for the shelved so that we could store things more securely I saw in other trucks how they had the nets, I just think it gave a messier look to the truck. As for cabinets, as long as the latches are secured that would be fine, but I'd be scared to break and get something flying from the cabinet.

I catch $#!T all day long for my love of Western Stars, in particular, the 4900EX models. Big fan of the room they provide, especially when you spend day and night in one. I'd love a Glider 4900EX with single turbo 6NZ CAT. Love the Green, it's different, sweet rig folks!!!

Hi, lovely video- I am a retired UK trucker. You showed what your husband did in the closet to hang stuff. Get some smaller "U" brackets and stick them in the refrigerator using sticky 3m pad (dont screw them in as you will damage the fridge) and use wooden dowels (!/2 inch) to stop stuff falling off the shelves.

If we had to rate it, the sleeper is a 10/10.. everything else was questionable. The driving was crazy.. not on the highway, the highway was great.. but it was just a harder truck to handle compared to a Volvo or something else.

Reason upper bed is low is because its more of a midroof instead of a condo truck. so the bed is placed lower on the wall.

The wheelbase on our truck is 238''. I know it varies up to 250" in standard compl. I didn't know it influences the bed size, I thought all 82'' cabs would have a full size. will look into it more.

I'm sorry I am just seeing this comment. This truck in particular, no because it was a lease. Only the interior was customized for Alex and I but the exterior needed to stay the same, which we did not mind, at the time we were the only WS on our yard and this color is pretty special.

How long does the post-8 hour drive break last?

The break is for 30 minutes after 8hr drive.. then you can finish the remainder of your 11 hours if you need to.

We learned to love it!!! has little issues here and there but all together very dependable. There is a lot of space and it is important but I got sold on the exterior look. Its like nothing else out there.

Yes, we did! Although we didn't really drive the whole 24 hours (maybe twice) but usually Alex drives all his 11hours and I do like 5 or 6 while he rests
