That’s bad Ju-Ju on the Diesel, Jay! What’s the sketch with the Toddler constantly practicing the singular Steel Drum in the background ??😂 Chin up, and keep ‘em comin! JCHK
Trucker Jay thanks for the other week letting me know i had no brakes lights functioning on my moffett, turned out to be the susie lead from the unit to the trailer had failed. Thanks again Stu Little
Hi Jay, I live within 30 mins of the A1 and it's notorious for diesel theft as the gangs use 4x4s to drive across fields. Someone relatively close by was jailed for 3 years for a spate of thefts. Its a nightmare for robberies that road. Great video and keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Good shout about not using your phone, I think anything can be a distraction but the Phone more so as sometimes a you could have things rolling around the trailer which could end up damaging your curtains on worse falling on someone who is passing
I have always been told avoid parking lay byes especially A1 Yorkshire area if dodgy peaple are driving around in the middle off the night where's the police patrols They're not interested in truck crime industrial estates are now double yellow lined they want your deliveries but they don't want you parked there overnight in well lit area's a few years ago I remember parking in a lay bye scotch corner police patroled that night we all got parking tickets😂
Back in 1998 - 2006, I was Ops and Night Security Manager at the Truckworld Truckstop in Essex. Even on our forecourt area where we parked up oversized or overlength trucks, we'd get visits from cars or pick-ups in the early hours, with people snooping around. My policy was always to intervene and stand up to these scumbags and the support we had from Essex Police then was superb. Yes, we were successful in catching these crooks. I also liaised closely with TruckPol, then run by the Met Police which collated data about thefts of and from trucks across the UK and through my connections, knew that the A1 along its entire length especially from Huntingdon in the south right up through Lincolnshire and Yorkshire was notorious for fuel theft from trucks parked up overnight in the various laybys. Over the years though, budgetary cutbacks have meant Police Forces have reduced the number of Traffic officers who can cover all roads.
Probably the same scroats that did the flip flop outside Pearl's caff outside next warehouse this morning. We locals have been reporting the issues for over 10 years and nothing gets done Dont park off the a1 from Grantham northbound
Jay sorry to see you got drained of diesel. I too got drained on A1 near Doncaster. I caught them so didn’t get emptied 😡. Many years ago I also drove a new DAF and like yours always coolant low coming up on dash and screaming at me. Enjoy your videos. Looking forward to the next one 👍👍
The travel lodge you was parked next to at red house interchange has work vans broken into most nights the other week a security guard had a knife pointed at him while lads carried on emptying the van.broken britain nothing safe these days lots of people with no respect.
It's safer to park near or outside ASDA ,Next or BandQ at RedHouse/Woodlands instead of that Travelodge. Trax Park is another tricky place to park too😮
Hi Jay great vlog, we used to live on the side of the A1 with a lay-by on the south bound, thieves used to cross our land on monkey bikes to rob derv out of the trucks. One night their luck ran out, the curtain sider was full of police men. Loved the Fent tractor that unloaded you, brought back memories. Keep blogging they are always interesting.
Hello Jay, hope you were able to keep going sorry that it happen to you and hopefully they fugured uot who did it, first time watched your video, take buddy be safe BLESSINGS!!!❤
Even if the fuel cap was locked they would have just broke the lock or put hole in tank. might as well just leave it unlocked yhere gonna take it anyway and saves a damaged fuel cap. Shit times !!!
Another good video Jay. They have got nothing better to do than steal the fuel and cause damage to other things not belonging to them. I doubt anything will happen to them either.
It is so irritating. This is one of many reasons why I am leaving the industry. I’m about to start my last week trucking after 9 years and before I was in the army. But equally excited and nervous due I’m starting my own business and also moving. Personally I think the transport industry and those who support it need Massive reforms. But I have no regrets and I’m glad I had became a Trucker but time for a change.
That's one of the reasons I packed up running my own trucks, scum bags, I'd love to catch them in the act. I run a ranger and car trailer, I will take my German shepherd with me if I'm out for the night, she's a good deterant.😊
Pretty sure your fuel theft was due to someone who came over in a dingy. Now they’ve finally saved up whilst sat in their lovely hotel long enough to buy a cheap diesel car, they obviously felt bad for all us taxpayers paying to fill their tank or two needed to drive through 15 countries to get home. 😂
Great vid jay as usual noticed a banging noise in the background throughout the vid especially with the camera mounted at the back of the cab any idea what that was .
Is your company to tight to pay for secure parking so its your company's fault really and you for putting up for it did 30 years of it n it's a piss poor job you have to do a week and and a halfs work for a weeks pay
