Vince, where ever you are thanks buddy. Because of your vids I decided to become a otr truck driver. That was like in 2015 when I got my cdl and become a driver. Man time flies like crazy. Well good luck hope you're still trucking.
I remember watching these videos back in 2009 before I drove truck. Have to admit, there are days I miss it. Stressful and boring at times, but it does give you a lot of freedom.
Every time I watch your videos it reinforces my will and determination to go back to driving. Ive been waiting 22 months to go back. I got to get my blood pressure down and ive been working out. Im not quitting. Im trusting through God I can do this.
hey too bad you had to go. it was fun to watch. i travel from new york to the midwest every week. so i see all the sights you featured on your series. hope i get to see ya out there sometime. peace out!
@Chazzkit I went over the road in 2005 but became a single parent . Now that both kids are going to be out of high school Im heading back in June I can't wait .... I loved it .
from haynes 1776: There are some companies that will tk in drivers who just grad from trucking school. I was accepted by Werner Enterprises after Grad from Roadmaster in 2004. I went out with a trainer for 8 weeks to learn everything I need to know and I learned as I go. Always inpect your rig after you done witha load to ckeck for defects, Keep your logs up to date, drive smart and safe. Trust me: Ive been there. I wish you the best out there
Vince, Great job. I don't know if you have read any books on production but your footage is edited very naturally. This was an easy watch. Mark from Stafford video productions.
from haynes1776: Im a trucker myself. I had not been driving for a year, but im looking forward to go back this year once the doctor clears me to return. I agree with you that its stinks you cant stop long enought to enjoy the scenery of all the great places you been to, but I made the best out of it. On the way to a stop in Wisconsin, I stoped in Wisconsin Dells,Wi to play some Minature golf at Pirate's Cove. it was fun. had a great time. 4 holes in one! Ha! I mk the best of it on the road.
i just got my class a permit today and i can't wait until i actually start training (about 3 wks)...your videos are very inspiring and interesting...thanks for sharing them!
Whats up pal! Hey great Video catolog of your runs brother. I pull out of Wisconsin Tanker work with my 2010 T660 Kenworth. Love the job hate the new driving laws and all the crap. But wanted to say hi and I look for ya out on the big road. Later man.
Hey!!Sorry i saw part 2 first so i come back.. I drove with meat 6 month and them change to foodtank-trucking..In those two transports cleaning very important like u said.. THX for share and im waiting for part 3.. BE safe..
@8747800 Most trucks have APU or alternative power unit that provide heating a cooling while the engine is off. They are small diesel engines that use a fraction of the fuel that the truck engine uses.
@MrDaylow I missed the open road for about 3 years. I want to go back, but with a good company and good miles and pay. I do agree with you that companies should pay drivers more for their work.
Hey man, i really enjoy watching your videos they bring back memories from my days at trucking school... what is the prettiest state you've driven through?
Hey! I have many questions :) How many gears your trailer has? Which kind of GPS do you handle in your computer? Are you aloud to change of lane that easier when your going in the freeway than a normal car? Is your speed limit lower than a normal car? Which exercises you do for the lumbar ache? Great music and editing!
hi vince i am a truck driver from GREECE.your video is wonderful. I want to gain experience in other countries like America, the dream of every driver is to come even for a while to work in america. please tell me what to do for a stranger to pull driver's license there.
Hey. One great guy. For those who wants to getting into filming their truck rides. THIS is how you film a truck ride. You mount the camera on the passenger side.
@journey95 how do you edit your videos like that??? im trying to do alittle recording also but cant really do it till i finish running teams with prime. im actually looking to head to usa truck, PAM transport, or PTL doing dry van. and ima really have time to record then but i like all your videos wish you make more
This is great info! I'm a woman, but would like one day to be a driver. SO do you cook your own food, or always eat out? I would want to cook my own to save money. I'm actually wanting to get a high powered blender to make healthy smoothies to eat for the health benefits. I won't need to mention the extreme pollution and toxins that I'm sure truckers take in each day.
Depends, Owner operator or Co. Plus with todays fuel prices it'll depend again. When I drove as a co back in the 90's, Most of the trucks I drove were governed at 66 mph. I only drove one that was governed at 74. For the OO trucks, you'll have to get that answer from those drivers.
If you don't own your own truck, where do you park their truck when you go home? Do they have yards you leave it at, or do you take it home with you? I'm thinking about driving.
