i enjoyed watching your video from start to end. i've just started hauling crude in ND some of these well sites have an incline to get my hose to the guetty box so when its time to disconnect im having a hard time disconnecting my hose,(because of the pump suction and the incline i also dont use flexible hose mine is non flexible continental 4inch rubber hose) is there any tool i can use other than my own strength or its just sort of tricky doing this, i found out its best to push it away rather than pulling it. anyways i totally agree with you that this kind of job is very hands on, i want to get good at this any tips would be helpful.
@Gemini-G7

The yellow pod where you connected the hose should have a bleeder valve. After you get loaded and close that valve on the head, open the bleeder valve and let the air in and walk the hose to the other end to the trailer. Then close the valve on the trailer and turn off the pump quickly and then disconnect the hose from the pod and close the bleeder valve. I done this for 10 years and remember by heart. If you any question’s lmk I try to explain and help.
@Gemini-G7
@Gemini-G7 2 года назад
If the yellow pod doesn’t have a bleeder valve on the the side of the header. I usually do this too. After you get loaded and close the valve on the head. If there no bleeder valve then release the ears on the head or your hose and let the air in the hose. Once there air goes in the hose, walk the hose so there no crude left in the hose and close the valve on the trailer and turn off the pump quickly. The ears are what tighten the hose to the header so when you loading it doesn’t leak out.

I live here in channelview do you know how much the company drivers will get paid in QC?
@Gemini-G7
@Gemini-G7 3 года назад
For QC you have to run hard to make decent money. I was running from Houston to Laredo or Brownsville and back to Houston every day for five days and I made 600 bucks. I quit QC the only way you make money from QC is to be a owner operator there. I was at QC for like 8 month then I quit, I don’t know how the pays is now it’s been a while. It’s been 5 or 6 years ago.

@Gemini-G7
@Gemini-G7 3 года назад
Depends where you live, your city and state if you planning on hauling local. If your going over the road. There a few companies you can look into. Praxair, heniff, or Dana are good company to haul for. But do your research first and ask those drivers you see at the truck stops. Praxair pays really good but not easy to get into and they are very very strict. Such as clean records and no tickets etc.

I own a good crude oil truck and tanker in Houston. I do not have a cdl nor plan on getting one. I hire a driver. I have been in it for about 3 years now. I am a woman and i dont really know a whole lot about the industry so the men in this business dont really prefer to help. I educate myself. I really want to put this truck to work while the industry is good. I treat my drive good and keep the truck up. I really need a good authority who is fair so that we can make money together but i need help getting started again under a good authority. Any suggestions?
@Gemini-G7
@Gemini-G7 2 года назад
Hauling crude oil you will always have contracts and something they last a year, 6 months, 3 months, and sometimes 3 years if your lucky. Crude oil makes good money but the contract ends and time goes by. You always looking and hunting for contracts and you have to go where the work and contracts are at. It’s very hard to do a full authority on crude even in chemicals tankers. Your gonna have to lease on to a company no matter what. It’s been like that for decades. The governments and laws on give big big companies to have authority and haul chemicals. But hauling crude oil only and just that is a down fall cause you can only haul crude and gasoline or diesel only, if you own crude oil trailers. You can’t not throw a corrosive chemicals or toxic in a crude oil trailer cause it not made for it and damage the trailer. It’s not a universal trailer to haul Anything.

@@Gemini-G7 I got a call from energy transfer. Starting pay is 56 mile and 26 barrel. I have very little experience since I operate a 2000gal diesel tank. Where I’m at I brought 81k before taxes. At 27hr. You think making to switch over to crude is a good idea?
@Gemini-G7

It’s hard to say, most of the crude oil they haul is up in Caldwell, Bryan Texas as far I seen. For local and be home everyday that really your call. It also depends where you live too.
