Hi Chris I have watched a few of your videos and you got me thinking more and more about the logistics industry and long story short I am now saving up to pay for my HGV C+E license and you are the one who inspired me to pursue it. I know you read the comments so it is now a fact that your videos are changing my life for the better. Keep up the good work mate!
Hi Chris. Love the videos and love your unit. Just waiting for my provisional to come back and studying hard for the theory tests. Only thing I'm struggling to get my head around in the working/driving hours and tacho settings. Sure it will all become clear once in a wagon but if you fancy doing and idiots guide on it I'd be very interested to see. Anyway sorry for the lengthy comet. Stay safe out there
Hiya Chris, good to have you vloging from your own unit again. Fair old slog of a day for you. It's a pitty the Sun glare spoilt some of the earlier footage. But let's not complain about the sun 😎we ain't seen much of it this year up north. Safe driving buddie. 🚛🌪️
Thank you very much. I know it was slightly annoying me while editing the vlog but like you say let's not complain soon be that time of year where we don't see it lol
Great vlog chris, made up you have your Scania S560 v8 back,i love these.I am a top fan of the #road legends#,have been for 3 weeks on their facebook, great guys and you yourself pal.
Nice video, I spent 6 years on the road and you tell it exactly how it is, no bullshit and not over dramatised! On the whole I loved it and really miss it, the running out of hours ordeals not so much.. I feel like I'm right back there. The only thing I might suggest is to consider enabling the spot meter on the forward facing GoPro as the road outside is overexposed. Default behaviour is to guess from the whole image, whereas spot meter looks at a small area in the centre and decides from that. Keep making videos!
its always a bonus when your next load is one you know,in my day we didnt have satnavs or autoboxes but we had a vast network on the cb radio where there was always some other driver who could tell you for definate where the drop was, great vlog chris keep em coming kid,and were you at the daf visit with luke/jenko/scott ?.
I wouldn't say that there is a perfect amount of time, I know people who passed class 2 and then the next week done their class. I also know people who have done years of class 2 work first. I suppose it comes down to how confident you feel and if your current financial situation allows. But personally I would say 6 months that way you can get used to driving hours and tachograph stuff etc but that is just my opinion I would never talk anyone out of it
Which usb port do you plug the cable into in the scania to mirror apple car play? Was trying to sort it out for one of my drivers as he has the new G450 rigid
Hi mate it goes into the one just below the radio next to the aux port. If it still doesn't work then unfortunately the truck needs to go to scania for them to install the update on it
